G & R Pest Control Inc

This is the second time we have used G & R Pest Control. John arrived right on time for our appointment. My husband walked the property with him, pointing out some of the spots where we were seeing wasps/bees. John then got to work spraying. He was finished in about 40 minutes and told us to avoid the side of our house where most of the wasps were congregating for the next day or so. He said if we still see activity in two days to call them back and they will send him out again. We were very satisified with the work performed. The only unfortunate thing was that we had just had our windows professionally cleaned the week before and the spraying for the wasps left drips on several of our nice clean windows. I don't think there was much that G & R could have done to avoid it, since the wasps nests were in the eaves over the windows. The lesson here is to have the pest control people come BEFORE the window washer. I won't make that mistake again!

I couldn't find any pest control companies in my area on Angies List so I had to select one from the phone book. G and R was located in my town and mentioned wasps in their ad so I called. I got a recording but someone called me back in about 10 minutes. We set up an appointment for a few days in the future at 9 a.m. My appointment time came and went with no one showing up or calling. At about 9:45 I called them and again got voicemail and left a message. About 10 a.m. Brian showed up at my door. We asked him why he was an hour late and he said he had trouble with his truck. ( a phone call would have been nice). We showed Brian the wasp nest at the peak of our roof and he went to work. He used a brush on a long pole to destroy the nest and then walked the perimeter of the house, checking for other nests under the eaves. He found a couple more small ones we weren't aware of. Then he sprayed a pesticide under the eaves all around the house. He then used a second pesticide on all patio areas and along the entire fence line. The job took about 45 minutes. He said the company guarantees the work for 30 days but that the pesticides are usually effective for 60-90 days. Since we had this work done in April we may have to have them re spray later in the summer. We shall see. Other than the tardy arrival, we were satisfied with their work. Someone from their office called me back about 10 minutes after Brian had arrived and seemed unaware of his truck problem, but at least she called me back.

They never showed up for the job. I never paid them.

We try to do it twice a year. We've been using them for approximately 10 years. They are worth every penny. They call with a reminder which we like because time goes by so quickly that we forget. They have always been really friendly and really nice. They are good and really do a good job. Their prices are pretty good. They come when they say.

We have a 3 month contract with them. We pay $85 every 3 months. The price is pretty good. We will continue to use them.
