All Out Lawn Care LLC

We received a bid for work to begin on a certain date. 2 months out...wanted it earlier, but I was patient... The rock we ordered from another company, could not be delivered as promised so I needed them to wait. I called the office twice to talk to someone and 2 phone calls with voice mails, no response. I finally got a live person on the 3rd attempt but she knew nothing and could not help me. She said she would have someone call me later that day...no phone call..no nothing...I left another voicemail but to no avail. Finally talked to someone and explained the situation...they were kind and said do not worry. Rock was delivered...workers showed up a few days later but did not dig down and remove the 3 inches of dirt they were suppose to..just threw the weed fabric down any which way. By the photos of the work they performed, you can see they did not even rake it out evenly. There is 22 yards of rock there..and it looks terrible. You can see the paper in spots.. should cover entire area with plenty of rock everywhere. The owner, my brother,even went and spoke to the owner of company and said they have not dug down the 3 inches as discussed in the original job, and he said he would get them out there to re-do it...nope ..no one has been out to re-address the situation. I am so glad I did not hire them to do my other house around the corner!! Enough said..we will see what happens...

I'm amazed at how much they screwed up. I think maybe a list will work best here: -A few guys come out on the scheduled day, a Monday at 7 am and tell us they're checking it out and he's explaining to his guys what they'll do -They talk in our lawn for about 3 hours, did nothing and leave -They leave without notice and don't show back up until Wednesday or Thursday, when they dig up the ground, leaving a 2" strip across the edge of our property by our neighbor's rock and a nice size chip in the edge of our driveway, then leave, again no communication, no notice of any status. -The next Tuesday, still no sign of the landscapers, a Gopher Construction truck drops 2 large piles of rock in front of our house, obscuring our parking and a great deal of the road, wider than our big truck by a few feet into the road. The driver has no idea what's happening, he was just told to drop the dirt at our house. -The following Friday the guys come to finally start the work, they were supposed to take the top 3" before laying the new Dirt/Gravel mix. This was in the contract, promised by the owner of All Out, and, in my opinion, the correct way to have dealt with our uneven lawn with leftover netting from sod. -We tried telling the workers they were supposed to do this, magically the only one that spoke English the first day wasn't there and not one of them could understand any words or gestures that directly have to do with their job, so they continued spreading rock over our un-leveled yard -The strip of grass by our neighbor's house is still there, they left it looking horrible and unfinished -the tarp/netting they put down under the rock is already visible in several areas that will only get worse -We now cannot open our side gate rv access, the rock is too high to open the gate -They left chunks and another patch of dead grass by our front door -More than one of our neighbors has told us that they were out on their phones or literally laying in the shade of our tree for hours when they should have been working -They decided to pour a 2' x 1' section of the new gravel on the rocks that our roses were planted in, throwing off the balance of the straight line they cut into -The owner proceeded to tell our owner (who is paying for this) that a specific pile of rock in their yard was from us. We've been home every time they've worked and our neighbors have watched the process as well. They took nothing off our yard and we watched as they laid the netting down over the dead grass and lumps they left. I don't know if it's because my husband and I are young (28, not even that young), if they know we're renters and think we don't care, or if they work like this all the time, but I will never give a penny to any "All Out" business and will make sure that nobody I care about ever wastes their money on them either. Landscaping is expensive but to get essentially everything so clearly wrong is unacceptable. Clearly, even if they are cheaper, it's worth spending the money elsewhere. There's other options and no excuse for how terrible this job was.

The owner was able to work with my schedule. His team arrived as promised and did an outstanding job, I have recommended All Out Lawn Care to a long time friend and am planning to hire them for my other landscaping needs.

He was very kind. He came and did the estimate. Then I waited and waited. I called back finally more than a week later I got the estimate via email (when he said that he would get it to me the next day). Looks fair to good. But I had some questions to clarify some points so I emailed back, then I called a couple days later and couple days after that left several messages with his assistant finally several weeks later I got an email response answering my questions - he was booked several weeks out. I chose a different contractor due to time constraints and difficulty getting ahold of him. He did come recommended and the fact that he is SO booked and busy is a good sign, but it wasn't a good fit for me. His estimate ended up being right in line or even a little cheaper that some of the others that I got. I wish him luck and hope that he gets more staff to be able to meet the needs of Fernley - and for goodness sakes pick up the phone and return a phone call :)
