Description of Work: In advance of a sale of my home, I hired Porter to complete some roof repairs. A buyer was quickly found and a home inspection revealed that some remedial roof repairs was (still) necessary. Porter did complete that work. The buyer also requested photos of the remedial work completion and that resulted in a few more days of delays.

 + -1 moreAs of November the job is not finished. I've had to bring them back multiple times to repair damage they left behind. They also created a leak in the roof they still haven't repaired.

Description of Work: We could not get porter roofing to come out and give us a estimate they kept putting off, would not answer the. I went by the shop several times, talk with the manger he would state that he would have some out to do the estimate, no one would show up.

Description of Work: I have been attempting to get them to come out and give me a price, but after continual attempts since September, and speaking to Jerry and Tiffany, I have given up. I had used them and refered them (I'm a Real Estate Agent) in the past but no more.

 + -1 moreI believe this company, now owned by a company in Reno, NV, is not trustworthy.
Description of Work: It is difficult to get this company to even answer the phone. After sending a minion out to check for missing shingles, we heard nothing more until I made another phone call some time later. I was told that wooden shingles weren't used much any more and that a full bundle would have to be ordered. I said to go ahead and that I would buy the full bundle. When I asked for the estimate the rep expressed surprise that I had not received one. Several weeks later I called again and was told that the man I needed to talk to was not in but he would call me the next day. It is now April 2013 and our roof is still not repaired.

 + -1 moreWe requested a estimate on having our house re-shingled that date was the last week in August 2012. On September 10 2012 I did a follow up phone call and was informed that they had the required information for the estimate and would have the estimate by September 17 2012. On September 19 I called again and was told they would have the estimate by the end of the week. We tried one last time on October 5 2012 to get the estimate it was NOT READY! That was over 6 weeks for a estimate. We went with another roofer, who came gave us the estimate /bid with in two days of the request. He starts roofing on Monday. If it takes over 6 weeks to get a estimate out how long it would take this company to shingle a house???
Description of Work: Don't use this company you can not get a job quote from these folks after 6 weeks.
