Troy was on time to look at job. Spent time going over what he could do to help remodel a bathroom. He explained only the part of the job he could do and I would need to hire others to complete the total work being done such as a plumber and tile person. I was moving a shower, making it bigger, having it tiled and then a cabinet made for the old shower area. He had ideas about what to do and it made sense to us. He was prompt and on time for meeting. He was a real nice guy and was coming from Carson to do the job in Reno. Our main concern was that after this original visit, I got one call that he was busy and could not get the estimate done in a timely matter and that he would do it the following week. I never got an estimate or even another phone call. It has been 3 months with no contact and I hired another person to do the job. A phone call would have been better than nothing. By waiting for his call and no response to email it delayed my job by months.
Description of Work: No work was performed. Owner came to look at job to be done but I never got estimate. No emails and no phone calls. He just dropped the job and I have had no contact for over 3 months.
I found Troy's number under Carpenter (finnish) and Handymen. After leaving a message on Troy's voicemail, Troy was the first to call back.Troy came up to my home in Incline Village and gave us a free estimate.I had water damage and carpenter ants, and Troy had to replace two sliding doors and repair the damage from the water and ants. In the process I asked Troy if he did tile. As mentioned above Troy tiled several areas in our home.My only hesitation in writing this review is Troy may be too busy the next time I need his services. If you are looking for an experienced carpenter/handyman look no further. Troy's charges were fair and his service was excellent.
Description of Work: Troy tiled our entry, kitchen, master bathroom, laundry room, and an additional 1 1/2 baths. Troy's attention to detail was excellent.

I hired Troy because he had done work for me before and had been impressed with his skill level. I knew this would be a difficult project, requiring a varied skill set which would include everything from framing to finish work. This project had to be framed properly due to the complexity of the alignment of the angled soffit over the steam/shower room. Troy first performed the complicated part of the demolition, knowing where to cut and where not to cut, as there were wires, pipes, and beams that could not be disturbed, and drywal that we did not want to disturb as to not have to redo unnecessary work later. After it was all clean, he constructed a frame for the new shower. Since the new steam system will be hidden above the shower stall, he had to construct a soffit to house the equipment, but the soffit had to be perfectly aligned with the shower stall walls, so that when we install the glass panes, everything will line up perfectly. He anchored the shower stall walls all the way down to the concrete slab the is underneath the floor (this used to be an old garage), to give them strength, as well as the posts that support the beam. He left the framing ready for the plumber and electrician to come in and do their jobs, and cleaned the jobsite impecably.
Description of Work: I am remodeling my master bathroom. Troy contributed in the inital demolition of the master bathroom. Removed drywall, removed old framing, opened up the ceiling so it could be vaulted up, disconnected electrical lines, removed plumbing fixtures and pipes. Next he installed a beam and shear wall to help support the roof and the new ceiling. He also constructed a frame for a custom shower/steam room stall. Constructed framing for the new wall to separate it from the master bedroom.
