A+, A+, A+. DeBug is brilliant! When I booted up my new (year old) computer, I was "greeted" with the message that my hard drive was in imminent danger of failing. Because my computer was still under warranty, I called the manufacturer's tech support and was told that although they would send me a new hard drive, they would not assist me in trying to copy my old data and installed software programs on my failing hard drive over to my new hard drive and I would have to reload all data and software programs from scratch. BUT, DeBug saved me hours of work and frustration by "cloning" my old, failing hard drive to a new hard drive. Now I have my repaired computer with all of my data and programs. DeBug Computer is a miracle worker!
Description of Work: DeBug was able to "clone" my failing hard drive with a new hard drive so I have all of my old data and previously installed software.

The experience was terrific! I dropped the laptop off on a Friday at lunch and checked back on Tuesday. I was told the part had arrived and I should reasonably expect my laptop would be ready by COB the next day (Wednesday) at the latest. The laptop was ready and picked up on Wednesday. I do not own a TV mainly because I don't watch it often enough to justify paying for cable expenses I won't take full advantage of. I'm happy enough to read about the game 15 minutes after it ends at ESPN.com for example. YouTube, TVLand.com, etc. do well enough satisfying my TV viewing desires otherwise, and hey - the price is right. My laptop functions as my home entertainment center. My hard drive was 80% synchronized and backed up, but I'm sure it has been almost a year since I backed up my .pst email file. My point is, I considered so many worst-case scenarios when my laptop went down and never came close to realizing any of them. DeBug Computer's staff did so much to put my mind at ease and I could not have had a better experience in resolving the issue than what they provided!
Description of Work: My laptop stopped working and would not boot-up. I was not even getting to the BIOS. Debug Computer's staff quickly determined the problem was a result of the battery pack not seating snugly which led the laptop to act as if the battery was dead. Because the battery pack was not seated properly it would not accept a charge. The staff ordered the part(s) required to seat the battery pack in the laptop and replaced on arrival.

I felt that the office were non- responsive to my requests. The field worker was professional and very knowledgeable. He was not expecting the installation to take very long but because the office employee did not do their job, he was at my home for 2.25 hours. The owner's son was very unprofessional to 1st follow up on their service and then not to have the courtesey to answer my concerns. I am happy with my new computer and the Quicken program is working perfectly with the 2 accounts.
Description of Work: I took in a new, in the box, all in one computer. I asked them to install Microsoft Office and 2013 Quicken and install 2 accounts of 2003 Quicken data from thumb drives into the new computer. A few days later I had a message on my recorder that it was ready, but they had not installed the new Quicken program because they could not download a free trial copy (remember they had my $900.00 new computer). I went out that night and purchased a Quicken program and took it to their office the next day and scheduled installation in my home later that week. The reason I took the computer in was because of their expertise and also because I use a satellite signal at home that is very slow. When the technician came to my home (he was very professional and I liked him very much), the Quicken program had not been installed. He proceed to install the program for me and when he tried to install the data into the new program, he first had to convert the data to a 2004 version which he needed to download from the internet. With my internet signal, this took at least twice the time it would have taken in their shop. Because I did not receive receipts upon delivery I went back to their store to ask for copies. I told the receiptionist I wasn't happy that what I had asked to be done in the office wasn't done and I felt like I paid twice for what I asked them to do. She said she would check into it and get back to me; I never heard from her. Approximately a week later, the Owner's son called to ask if I was happy with their service and I explained what happened to him. He too said he would look into it and get back to me. That was 3 days ago and I have not heard from him again.

I was told there would be a minimum $85 charge for the repair, which I agreed to. Within an hour of dropping off the computer, I received a call letting me know what they had done and telling me the charge would only be $35. The computer now works perfectly, although with a bit less memory than it had before, but I haven't noticed any performance problems. I was delighted to be charged less than the minimum I agreed to, and to have gotten my system back so promptly. The receptionist and technician were both professional and helpful.
Description of Work: DeBug Computer tested my computer, which was exhibiting extreme "blue screen of death" problems. It wouldn't boot and I feared my hard drive would require replacement. Upon diagnosing the problem, they found I had a bad memory stick and upon removing it the computer worked properly.
