James came out the very day I called. He was just the nicest guy. I didn’t feel uncomfortable or that I was being sold more than I was interested in. They installed the two ceiling fans I had that were brand new, but recommended against installing the third, which was a gift and was too big for the size of the room. He also tested all my other ceiling fans in my house to be sure they were operating properly and didn’t need any additional servicing. He will be coming back with a different mount for the small box fan I bought, which he didn’t have in the truck with him. I felt that I was treated honestly, and their service was quick. I think their price was very reasonable and well worth it.
Description of Work: I called them to ask for him to install three ceiling fans for me.

New Breaker Box- he put one in that was too small even though we told him we wanted a larger size to add to later. After he put in one too small, and we questioned him, he made up an excuse that it was plenty big, but later we had so many unrelated people (electricians, too) that said a bigger box should have been added. We had to have a secondary box added later. Mike was supposed to label the breakers but failed to do that, along with many other things. He said his fee was $70/HOUR. He had a young kid work with him that he was sharing with another company to keep the kid working. The kid had no experience (like a couple of weeks) so Mike had to stop his work repeatedly to show the kid what to do, etc. Mike had to go up and down into the attic while telling the kid how to help. They also went to buy parts together. Little did we know Mike was going to charge $70/hr for a kid that slowed Mike down tremendously, so we actually paid more than if Mike had worked alone!!!! This was a major rip-off. I asked him about it and he said the kid still had to be paid. In casual conversation prior to the fees being known, we had discussed people who did not pay him and he said it was no problem for him because he'd just get a lien against the house. In the garage, we ended up with a junction box that was too small for the number of wires. He put too many wires in one twist cap and the cap was rated for less, and one wire even had a slice in the coating so the copper showed. The outside light that I had him put by the exterior garage door was not working. We had to have that checked and it was discovered that Mike and his untrained worker had wired the light backwards (blk and wht wires were reversed). The light over the main garage door, well, he charged to fix it but it did not work so we had to have someone else fix that, too. We wanted motion sensor lights added outside in the back. He put it so high up that it senses the neighbors trees and shines in their yards. It had plenty of room to be lower and I told him that. In the hallway, he changed out some light switches with dimmers. When done, the box was not flush. He said he'd fix it but never did. We had someone fix that and I stood there holding the flashlight while the guy found that the box had been broken and the one part that held it in was broken off. Instead of replacing it, Mike used metal screws that were in the box next to the wires. This box had to be taken out so it would be repaired and no metal should have been in there next to the wires. We wanted electrical plugs outside near the rear bedroom window and also an outlet added inside in a specific location on the wall by the window. Mike drilled through the foundation, and put a wall outlet where we did not want it. I could also see the back yard through the outlet. The added outlet outside was not neat and was crooked. We had to have someone fix it. He removed inadequate wiring performed by a handy-man and extended to breaker box. The location he put the wire was unattractive. There is more to add to this list, but the list is at my office. I'll send home and finish this later. Mike is a good talker and can easily gain people's trust. If you have him do any work, be sure you know the codes and watch what he does. I recommend using someone else or you may have to pay someone else to fix what he does. Oh and watch for screws left in your driveway, if you like your tires! By the way, Mike was told of the things that were wrong. He said he'd call to make an appt but he never did.
