1 Call Home Repair Service

Tim came to my house the day after I called. The weather strips had to be ordered and he came to replace them as soon as they arrived. He also adjusted those doors, as well as another door, because they were not locking properly. He replaced the swamp cooler water line and verified that the water level was ok before he left. I have a long list of repairs to be done and as a single woman, it is great to have someone to call on to do the repairs. I would highly recommend Tim and plan on using him again shortly to begin tackling a few more of the things on the list.

excellent work on everything. this is not the first time that I have hired Tim. Always first class, very honest, tries to save you money.

Update to the last review. Tim did call me a day or two later. came promptly the next day and then a week later as promised to do the work. He did a great job at a reasonable price. Was unable to fix the pocket door or the faucets but made recommendations.

Wonderfully. We would hire him again. He answered my first call right away and then was able to come to the house and fix the problem the very next morning, the day before Thanksgiving.

He responded promptly to my requests and kept me informed of progress.

Amazing work. My dog basically destroyed the bottom 1/3 of an interior door's trim, taking some paint off the wall with it. Tim stopped by and did a quick estimate and then started work the following week. It looks brand new as if no damage had been done. He charged me exactly what was quoted and the results were spectacular. I would definitely recommend Tim for any home repairs you need done!

Tim, the handyman, could not have been more helpful. The bi-fold doors I had purchased would not fit the opening for which they were intended. He returned them to Home Depot for me and ordered others cut to the size needed from another company. He completed the job yesterday and I am very happy with them. I have already made arrangements with him to do some other work for me and highly recommend him.

Tim arrived on time and was very professional and courteous. All of the work that Tim did exceeded my expectations. Tim did a fantastic job in both instances, the painting and the microwave installation. The microwave was a challenge due to the exhaust system needing an adjustment. He had a special connection made and brought it back the next day and finished the job. I I paid $180 for the cabinet painting and another $180 for the microwave installation. He arrived on time and did a very professional job. I highly recommend him for your handyman needs.

Although Tim got stalled by the prior appointment, he notified me of the problem in a timely manner. Once he arrived, he installed the necessary hardware and ensured all was working per installation instructions. When we discovered later that night that thermostat did not store the programming, he came back the next morning and discovered a battery problem. He replaced the battery and reprogrammed the thermostat with no additional charge. Tim was very professional in his work and was very pleasant to deal with.

After several voicemails, I was able to talk to Tim on Tuesday evening, after 6:00 p.m. He made an appointment for Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. to give me an estimate for the work I needed to have done. At 4:45 he was no show/no call. At 5:15 I called him and left a message asking him to let me know if he was still planning to come out. About 5 minutes later he called, said he had forgotten our appointment, but could still come by at 6:00 p.m. I agreed. He finally showed at 6:20 p.m. By that time I had lost confidence that he would be able to satisfactorily complete the work I needed and declined to have him provide the estimate. I chose 1 Call Home Repair based on previous good reviews that stated Tim was prompt, courteous and professional. Unfortunately my experience with him was just the opposite and I cannot recommend this business.

The finished job was excellent on both ceiling and wall. Job was done in a timely manner considering the drying time needed between steps. The only problem was the MESS made in the kitchen and beyond from popcorn and sheet rock dust due to inadequate sealing off of the room from the rest of the house. Need to be sure there is mutual understanding of all aspects of the job before it is begun.

Tim is very professional, prompt and efficient. I may have been able to get these projects done for a cheaper price, but I don't always think cheaper is better. I am happy knowing everything was done correctly. I have hired Tim to come back when the weather starts to get warm to repair the swamp cooler and get it ready for summer. I believe Tim is honest and will not overcharge , he is very reliable.

Tim was referred to us shortly after we moved to Dayton in July 2012. He has worked on several projects over the past 2 months, related to getting our new house set up. He gives us solid estimates, comes on time, stays in touch, refers us to others in the area, and just does an excellent job. His hourly prices are very reasonable.
