We scheduled for SolarEnvi to come out Saturday morning for an energy audit, they arrived right on time. Deborah and Mary are co-owners and they spent about four hours evaluating, documenting, and testing our home. Being an energy conscious person who recycles, composts, drives hybrids, etc., the energy audit was right up my alley and I was expecting a lot; SolarEnvi delivered more than expected. Both were extremely knowledgeable and they sat patiently with me and explained the process, answered all my questions and shared experiences. They came back the next Saturday with the audit report and explained in detail the results (my house was not as efficient as I hoped, but that gives me more to improve). Again, they were patient and put up with all my questions and comments. They came in as a business and I feel they left as friends. They are both very cool, into the environment, work toward more efficient buildings, and passionate about their work. I highly recommend SolarEnvi and look forward to a follow up assessment.
Description of Work: SolarEnvi performed an energy audit on our residence on one day and a week later came back to review the results.

Excellent!
Description of Work: Deborah and Mary came out to our house and did a complete and thorough energy and safety inspection. They were at our house for approx 5 hrs, crawling around in the attic looking at our current insulation, air ducts, thermostats, pool pump, returns, etc. I was very impressed by these two ladies. Plus they did not try to sell us on anything since they do not do the installation of anything. They just recommend things you can do to your house to make it more energy efficient.

First, the two owners of this company were a pleasure to deal with. They were completely focused on helping the customer. They were reliable, efficient, informative, and available whenever questions arose. I trusted them completely. Because SolarEnvi does not do the actual retrofitting work, they have no bias toward finding more problems than actually exist. Their auditing work for us was under the auspices of HomeFree Nevada, a non-profit organization overseeing a publicly funded program aimed at improving the energy efficiency of Nevada homes. HomeFree Nevada certifies home energy auditors and retrofit contractors, so you know you are dealing with a company that knows what it is doing. If the client spends at least $2,000 on energy improvement work, the program rebates to the customer $1,000. HomeFree Nevada's web site is http://homefreenevada.org/. I entered the program by e-mailing HomeFree Nevada at the web site. Deborah from SolarEnvi then contacted me and we got started. In our case, we chose to replace our single speed pool pump with a variable speed pump, install an energy recovery ventilation system to improve fresh air ventilation in the home, and install tinting on two windows that get a lot of sun. Our home's HERS (Home Energy Rating System) score went from 97 to 85 (100 is an average home's score and 0 is perfect). We're very pleased with the results and are looking forward to seeing savings on our coming electric bills.
Description of Work: SolarEnvi did a comprehensive energy audit of our home. They measured insulation, duct work, leakage through windows, doors, walls, and attic, efficiency of appliances, water heater, and AC/heating system, and ventilation adequacy of the home. They prepared a Home Performance Report detailing their findings and listing recommended energy efficiency improvements, ranked in order of the most bang-for-the-buck in terms of energy savings versus cost of the improvement. After the retrofitting work was done by another company, they returned to verify that the work met expectations and was satisfactory.
