I purchased 14 miniature Black Eye Susan plants and 3 Blue Salvias from this company in Aug. 2009. In the same flower bed, I planted 3 Dwarf Nandina bushes purchased from Lowe's and 9 Salvias (3 different varieties) from High Country Gardens via the internet. This spring (April 2010), every plant from Dunn's was dead and all the other plants from the 2 other suppliers was alive and thriving. I have been gardening for 40 yrs and I know I planted the plants correctly and watered them appropriately as evidenced by the survival and growth of the others not purchased from Dunn's. When I went back to Dunn's and complained, I was told they do not guarantee their plants. So I am out over $125 and will never shop there again. I should also add that in other flower beds, I have plants purchased from Walmart, 2 local growers at the Farmer's Market and more from High Country Gardens and none of those plants died. Only the plants from Dunn's didn't make it. I have worked in retail for over 30 yrs. and was always of the philosophy that the customer is always right. Dunn's made no attempt to make this right, other than to tell me to wait a couple of weeks, maybe the plants would still come up. I've waited 2 weeks and there is nothing growing.
Description of Work: None, I purchased plants and planted them myself.
