Brush Up Interior Painting

The entire interior was painted (4 different paints on the walls and ceiling).

Tom had put me down on the wrong day by mistake (new calendar). When I called him in the morning, he remembered when he had scheduled me and realized he had made a mistake. He went out of his way, including coming for several hours to make up the loss of time, to make sure the job was completed the same day. Tom made sure that painters were at the house quickly (pulled them off a job that was not dependent on furniture moving and that could be done another day). Very professional approach to his mistake and much appreciated. Because there was more to do than the 16 man-hours for which I had paid, they worked with me to ensure that they painted the most imortant rooms to me. I was grateful that Tom came to work to make sure everything would be done since I had moved all the furniture to the middle of the room and I was having company the next day. I also appreciated that he was conservative about my buying paint. Instead of sending me out to buy more paint than I needed, he had his men let me know when they would need more and how much. Previous paint jobs I have had done left me with more than 3 extra cans (>$100) of unused paint. These guys put themselves in your shoes and respect your needs. I was very impressed by the team's professionalism, how well they painted, cleaned up and ensured that I was happy. I highly recommend this team and I would hire them again.

I bought an Angie's List deal in hopes of not only having my bedroom painted, but also having them finish up my entry way, living room and dining room - all of which we started painting ourselves, but have high ceilings that we weren't able to reach. Tom, the owner, called me the same day I bought the deal and set up a time to come and take a look at the work I wanted done. Tom is awesome - he showed up on time and gave us an idea of how much they'd be able to do in 8 hours. Since the work we needed done was going to take longer, he gave us a very reasonable estimate on doing not only what we originally had in mind, but to also clean up the mess we made in one of our bathrooms trying to paint it ourselves. He was able to schedule our appointment quickly - and sent 2 painters - Jeff and Joshua - both of which were great. They worked quickly and made ZERO mess. We are SO happy with the outcome - everything looks beautiful! We plan to have them come back out to do more work for us. I would highly recommend Brush Up!

They arrived on-time and did an excellent job. We provided the paint and the painter did the rest. Everything looked very good when he was done and he took care to clean up after his work.

The best painters we know. Tom Armijo worked with us carefully to decide on product (and had good advice on color), and then had a detailed estimate to us in writing within a couple hours of meeting with us. His crew was professional, punctual (if not a little early ahead of start time!), meticulous, and kept us detailed on their progress at the end of each day. All doors were painted per our contract, and all door handles, wall plates, light fixtures, and window treatments were removed and replaced as expected. They even caulked shelving in the pantry before painting that room. Their plaster guy made excellent repairs of multiple spots (some of them much more complicated than just a chip or a crack), and he matched our unusual wall texture to a T. Lastly, Tom promised that if he could finish the project early (and properly), that he would discount the final bill. He kept his promise. Top rate company, excellent service, and outstanding work!

I just don't need the service right now.

Prior to the first day of the job, we had removed all wall decorations and had emptied the bookcases. The crew arrived promptly and got to work on the drywall repairs, the ceiling and the woodwork. I think that there were 5 or 6 men here the first day. The crew covered everything with drop cloths and moved furniture as needed. At the end of the work day, the crew cleaned the areas they were in. The subsequent days went pretty much like the first. The job took longer than anticipated due to the illness of one of the crew, and the extensive nature of the drywall repairs. We felt comfortable with Tom and the crew so we did not feel like we had to be home to supervise their work. In fact, the job ran into a scheduled trip out of town and we gave Tom the keys and told him to finish while we were gone, which he did. When the job was done, we were still gone. Tom emailed us an invoice for the entire job but was willing to accept partial payment, allowing us to hold a 7.5% retainage until we returned and could inspect the work. The work looked great! I should mention that Tom's pricing was extremely competitive and given the fine quality of Brush Up's work, he provided great value. In addition, Brush Up did extra work, fixing some rough areas for a minor up-charge. I would definitely hire them again.

Very professional, excellent quality work

They were great! The painters are very professional and personable. They did a terrific job. Tom, the owner, stopped by to check on the job. The second time they were here, he was on the job. They truly care whether or not you're happy and will do everything in their power to keep you happy. I've worked with a lot of painters over the last 35 years, being in the design business. These guys are top notch! I would not hesitate to recommend them! They are a pleasure to work with.

Do not remember cost, but very reasonable and they were very professional. Cleaned up well after.

It went very well. On time and did a great job of painting over a horrible aqua blue color, needed 2 coats. My daughter was very happy.

I have a very nice door with two adjacent panels that had not bee well kept up. They removed all hardware, scraped down the old paint where it was loose, caulked where needed and put a sealant on the exposed areas and gave the surfaces two coat of oil based paint - which was what I had before. they did a great job given a difficult situation

The service provider was able to complete the job in a hurry. We were having a houseful of guests for my daughters wedding. A company I hired previously did not show up so we were in a bind. We have high ceilings, strange curves and stairs that adjoin the wall. The painter was on time and did exactly what I asked. The owner of the company stopped by to check on the progress. I was called in to work so I had to leave abruptly. When I returned home the job was completed and everything was clean. We will use them again and happily recommend them.

Tom is very prompt to return calls and is very accommodating in scheduling the work. I purchased one of the Big Deals and Tom offered suggestions and was very conscientious in ensuring I received the maximum benefit of the deal. The two painters that came were very personable and their work was outstanding. Tom came by during the day to check on everything and ensure I was happy with the work. I wanted 3 rooms painted, but they weren't sure they would be able to do all of them in one day, so they worked according to my priorities. They worked a full day and gave me every minute of time I paid for. There was still a little work to be done in the 3rd room so Tom scheduled another time to finish it and personally came back and did the work. It was also outstanding.

This is the third job that we have hired Tom Armijo and his exceptional crew of painters to do for our home. The previous two were interior painting where as this recent job was all exterior. I can honestly say that Brush Up goes beyond just excellent skill in painting. They are responsive, respectful and trustworthy. Tom stays true to his estimates for jobs and is very prompt in sending quotes and sending his crew at the scheduled time. As a former police officer, Tom's employees are all thoroughly background checked. I have left them alone in my home before and was called that day by Tom to inform me that some strange young adults were scouting the neighborhood and even asked the painting crew to come in my home to use the restroom while I was away! Not only did the painting crew make them leave, they also got as much info about the strange group and their vehicle as they could and then informed me and my neighbors to be on the alert. Tom called to be sure I was safe that evening and to be sure I was fully aware of what had happened. Tom and his employees definitely went beyond the call of duty. That being said, they prep, paint and clean up with incredible skill. I've never had anything but polite and professional conversations with the employees. They use high quality Sherwin Williams paints and are very knowledgeable of their products and process. Brush Up is a great company with excellent ethics and high standards and I am happy to recommend them to anyone with residential or commercial painting needs.

Painter showed up on time. There was a lot of prep involved, because in the case of having to spray paint, it can be very messy if everything you do not want painted is not covered up very well. They did a great job covering the walls in plastic, as well as the floor and furniture. A very long and tedious job. I am glad I had someone do it for such a great price!

Excellent job, whole house looks great. Tom's crew showed up when he said they would and worked fairly quickly. Job took a little longer than expected due to Tom haveing lost one of his crew a short time before, but once he got all three guys in they finished up in decent amount of time. They took good care of our belongins and played well with our puppies. We both had to be away on one of the days they were there and we had no concerns about leaving them with a key and baby sitting the two dogs. We were also having the carpet and florring redone a week later and they ripped up the carpet along base boards to get them painted prior to carpet installation. We will not need their services anytime soon but would hire again if the need should arise.

This was by far the best paint job I have ever had done. Tom Armijo came to our home to give an estimate and was so friendly and professional. He actually seemed to be excited about the job and gave me several different ideas for color schemes. He had photos of past jobs and promised that we would be thrilled when it was done. He was absolutely correct! The team went over and above being meticulous with the trimming. I am very picky and see everything! I found two tiny smears no bigger than one inch each! One was on the side of a door facing and I can't even remember the other. We had them paint our home while we were on vacation! If you can't trust retired policemen, who can you trust? It really was nice to come home to a freshly painted home! Tom kept in touch with me and called immediately if there was a question. I would never bother to get an estimate from anyone else in the future. I would call Brush Up Interior Painting for any painting I needed done.

Tom and his crew arrived on time for the job, and I was introduced to the men that were doing the work. They were nice, neat and professional. I felt comfortable enough with them to leave them while I ran errands. They did an excellent job, and I was very pleased. I had never had professional painting done before. I would highly recommend them to anyone, and will likely use them again in the future! Great experience.

It was really good. It took only a couple of days. He helped me pick the color choices and was very helpful. He did a fantastic job.

This is a wonderful company. Tom and his crew arrived promptly and got to work. They did very careful prep work and just did their work perfectly. They brought their lunches and ate on our patio which I liked - no delays. It took three days for a good size house with very tall ceilings in some rooms. We are totally pleased with the results and our friends have been very impressed. Tom took some off the original estimate because one room only required one coat.

It went very well, the crew showed up in a convoy at 7AM, got started and worked very hard and well, did a beautiful job, no spills, over-painting or mess, cleaned up and left at the end of the day. I thought it was going to take two days but they finished in one.

Tom and his team use only the highest quality of paint. They scaped, swept and painted a front porch and a 18 x 24 deck. They also surprised me by removing and painting a large bench top that I had with cinder blocks. They moved it and put it back in another place. I would highly recommend Brush Up Painting and consider them the go to guys if you need painting done whether it be exterior or interior.
