They were running about 1/2 hour late but called and advised me of this at the appointment time. When he arrived, he got right to the job and was very professional.

WAS 1/2 HOUR LATE REQUESTED A PRICE FOR INSTALLATION OF FIREPLACE LOGS ON OUTSIDE FIREPLACE NEVER CALLED WAITED 3 WEEKS NEVER CALLED BACK HAD TO CALL THEM BACK. THEY DIDN'T SEEM INTERESTED.

The job was done in a timely manner with care in the working area.

The service was fine. There was a bit of confusion around when they came out. They came out maybe after three weeks. They did not show up on their first appointment because of some confusion, but they showed up on their second appointment. I was not home, but my fiancé was and he said that the guy knew what he was doing. They did not only maintain it. They fixed it without extra charge. Pretty much, everything was done through e-mail. They were fast. If we had to do something like that again, we would call them.

Service was great and the tech was professional.

The service went very smoothly and they did an excellent job. They worked quickly and cleanly. I wish that the two men who were doing the job had introduced themselves, though.

The two men who came to do the cleaning were prompt, courteous and quick. They made no mess and were outstanding leaving the rooms in the condition in which they found them. I was very pleased!

Evidently, the fireplace had never been used. It was just a matter of showing me which buttons to push and which knobs to turn. The two men were here for about 10 minutes, which makes my $79.00 fee seem rather exorbitant. They appeared to know what they were doing but they didn't have to do much.

I gave them a check when the job was completed for $104.06 HOWEVER, IT LOOKS LIKE ANGIE'S LIST ALSO TOOK CARE OF THIS PAYMENT WHEN I BOOKED THE SERVICE ON 12/3/15. Excellent job is a very short period of time.

Ian showed up at the appointed time, inspected the gas log fireplace, and provided a tune-up and cleaning. He showed me how to light the fireplace when it is turned off at the end of the season. He thoroughly cleaned all glass work and iron grating, and removed all old rocks. He cleaned the base of the fireplace. I was totally satisfied with his service, and look forward to using our fireplace this winter.

There were at first some communication difficulties. Ultimately I discovered that calling the cell phone number brought prompt replies. From then all went smoothly. The team arrived during the reserved time slot and performed the cleaning and inspection professionally. In particular, they left almost no dirt or soot. The fireplace now draws better than in years.

Gas fireplace tuneup. Showed up on time, started the fireplace, looked at the remote. I later found out the receiver on the remote was not working and had to replace it

The job went very well. Ian and his helper were very conscientious of our home and furnishings. They put down a brand new tarp in front of the fireplace before starting the cleaning. They explained what they were doing, and how to properly remove and replace both the protective screen and the glass panel. They cleaned the glass panel and interior of the fireplace. They reassembled the glass and screen and started the fireplace, making sure it was burning properly. They cleaned up their work area, asked if we had any questions, and then departed.

The service providers were punctual, efficient and cleaned up after themselves very well.

Everything went well, and Shawn called ahead to let me know about what time he would arrive when he was running late. Having to drive from Santa Fe to Albuquerque to give me the estimate, and then to perform the work, calling ahead helped me schedule my day. The only issue I had was the initial estimate was too high for me to handle. I purchased Angie's deal of $300 worth of masonry/chimney for $100. He lowered his initial estimate to a more reasonable $484.82 out of pocket to me. Shawn and helper Ian spent about 3 to 4 hours to complete the job and clean up. I rated the cost a C since I calculate the price to be $684.82 based on the $300 worth of work for $100. And, this was the price after he reduced his initial estimate. Ian removed the shattered bricks without damaging any of the other bricks which I know is no easy task. Then they mortared and inserted the new bricks and the chimney is repaired. Good job.

When I called, they were just rude and sarcastic. Won't ever try to use again.

The company was due at 11am. At 11.20, I had not heard anything, and I called the company. They told me that they were running late, and they said that they would be out in about 20 minutes. 20 minutes passed, and I called the office back. I called several times and it went straight to voicemail. I got an email from them that said they said they couldn?t find my address on the GPS. I called the office again, and spoke to someone who said they had called me several times . They had not, have been home the entire time. They told me to call the technician. I called him, and gave him the directions to my house. He said that he would "Take care of me when he could" because they "were running late." I told him I wanted to get a refund, and he said ?Okay lady, whatever.? I have never had this type of experience with a company on Angie?s List before. I requested a refund for Angie?s List for this Big Deal. I do not recommend them to anyone.

This provider cleaned my chimney in March and told me I had a crack that needed repair. I asked him how much it would cost and he said "around $300" so I said I would have to save up for that. When I saw the Angie's Deal ($99 for $300 Worth of Masonry, Tuckpointing or Chimney Service) I bought the deal and contacted Shawn. I reminded him that he had cleaned my chimney earlier this year and I wanted to schedule the service he said I needed to repair my chimney that he estimated would cost $300, and made an appointment with him. When he arrived at my house this past Tuesday, he said he could not do the repair for $99 because he "wouldn't make any money" at that price. I was very surprised because that was the work we had scheduled. He said he could "patch" the crack for that price, but I wanted the chimney repair that I purchased in Angie's Deal. I said if he would not honor the deal, that I would let Angie's List know what had transpired. He then said "You should at least pay me something for driving out here." Seriously!!!???? I reluctantly agreed to letting him patch the crack, and while his "assistant" did the patchwork Shawn went outside and stayed in his truck. He came back inside my house around 15 minutes later when the work was done (a small patch 13" x 19" on the back wall of my fireplace) and I showed him a printout of what was included in the Deal that I purchased: "$99 for $300 worth of masonry, chimney, or tuckpointing services. Valid for general masonry, mortar repair, reconstruction, brick work, chimney restoration, chimney sweeping, crown coating, and water repellents." He looked at it, nodded his head and again said that he could not do the work for $99. I said he should not have agreed to perform these services for Angie's List customers and I would be letting them know he did not honor the deal that I purchased.
