Description of Work: Cleaned and turned on gas fireplace. I have never had a gas fireplace before and Shawn was very patient while I took notes on how to turn the fireplace on and off and asked various questions.

Description of Work: Cleaned the electric fireplace. Work was done well, but service call was postponed and then reset to his schedule regardless of mine.

Description of Work: Shawn did a cleaning of my gas fireplace. He brushed and vacuumed the ceramic wood pieces, cleaned the glass and added vermiculite underneath. After watching what he did I have concluded I could do this myself. The glass still has a film on it that he gave suggestions for removing but only used glass cleaner himself. It took him approximately 30 minutes to complete...I bit pricey for the time spent. Just my opinion.

Description of Work: He cancelled once. That was okay. Moving appts comes up periodically with any service, right? When he did arrive the next time, he was late and did not call to inform us. In retrospect, we both thought we had used this guy before and were not please then. He asked which one of the service pkg's we had purchased? So, he was not organized or had a sense of the product he was contacted for. Chalk it up to another experience!

Description of Work: The provider cancelled the first scheduled appointment at 5:00 the evening prior, saying that he needed to attend a funeral. He did arrive (late) to the second scheduled appointment; however, I suggest that - if you can simply remove the front grate, check that the fireplace is coming on correctly, and lightly vacuum the inside - you can save $79. There was nothing technical or special about the services performed.

Description of Work: They looked over our gas log fireplace and could not get it operating. They suggested we call an electrician. It has not worked since we bought the house, so now we now it is likely electrical and not associated with the gas or ignition.

Description of Work: Purchased Angie's List deal for Chimney sweep plus repairs up to $100. Chimney didn't need any repairs, so ended up just being the sweep. My chimney is now much cleaner than it was...not sure what else to say.

Description of Work: I really can't say anything positive about this server. He was late arriving and when he came to the door he didn't even introduce himself. We wanted him to inspect and service our gas fireplace. He walked in, looked at it and asked for the owners manual. I didn't have one. He knelt down to look at it and had difficulty opening it up. When he got up, he had left black soot on the floor from his pants. He worked around it for about an hour but accomplished nothing. He didn't even have glass cleaner to clean the glass front. After he left we had to go back and redo everything. This was a total waste of money and time. I do NOT recommend this provider.

Description of Work: It was quick--but I am moving so I will not be using them again.

Description of Work: Inspected and cleaned the fireplaces. Installed extensions and lid on the exterior exhaust of the fireplaces. The company does great work however it took them a while to complete the requested job. Better follow up and responsiveness is key to keep business.

Description of Work: He did a good job with the chimney sweeping. I was talking to him about adding a fan. He said he will look into it and call me. He didn't call. I called him and he said he would check into it and call me. He still hasn't called.
