Description of Work: I held a membership at the Santa Fe Spa for years, and after brief comparisons (through 'introductory offers) to other gyms in town, I can say that the SF Spa is without a doubt the best gym experience for my dollar, here in Santa Fe. Membership to the gym also includes access to any of the regularly offered classes - Bonus! No extra fees or charges for those classes...take as many as you want. All you have to do is show up. The staff can also provide (at extra charge) personal trainers, if needed, on request. The gym's hours are flexible enough for me - I was able to work out after work, when I like to. There is an ebb and flow of other patrons which offers many non-busy times during a week to work out, but even during peak hours, I rarely had to wait for any weight machine I wanted to use, and never had to wait for a cardio machine. All the machines at this facility are new, up-to-date, and are kept in top condition, serviced and replaced regularly when needed. Speaking of the cardio machines, they are all luxuriously equipped with individual (satellite or cable!) televisions for you to plug your earphones into, if you're so inclined. Or listen to your own tunes and just use the TV for visuals! The stationary bikes, treadmills, stair-steppers, and elliptical trainers all have the tiny TVs. Plenty of sets of free weights line one whole wall of the gym. At the back of the facility is a wood-floored classroom for yoga, NIA, and other classes, and has a heavy-bag for punching, kickbox practice, etc. The separate mens' and womens' changing rooms were recently remodeled, each featuring its own separate steam room and dry sauna. The changing area is roomy, with plenty of lockers and benches, sinks and mirrors, and complementary hair-dryers to use.
