SANTA FE ROOF SYSTEMS

We contacted this company in August because we saw the information on Angie's List. He came over and had a look at our roof and said that he could likely just repair vs. having to have a whole new roof. That gave us optimism of our expenses not being sooooo high. Said he would like to test materials for adhesion and would get back with us and have an estimate. We really wanted to get this job completed before Winter. It is now December 1st and we are still waiting on the estimate. We keep being told that he is VERY busy, workers left etc. We really enjoy this businessman - he is always apologetic and promises to get us information right away, but again this week we had to put buckets under the leaks. Sadly it is looking like we will have to find a different roofer and now that it is Winter the job will likely cost more or get put off yet another year causing more damage to our home.

They arrived and said they would give me the estimate in 4 days. It has been a month since he has said he would give me an estimate. I have made several attempts to contact this company and not one of my phone calls have been returned. I feel this is very unprofessional.

After experiencing erratic contact with and widely varying estimates ($18-30K) from other providers, a neighbor who was arranging for a new roof at three properties tipped us to her positive impressions of Brian Brandle at Santa Fe Roof Systems. When we contacted him, he offered to inspect our roof that day and give us a report. As others had indicated, he stated that ours was in dire condition and needed immediate replacement. To our delight, he said he would put us in his queue ahead of others that were less "needy" (with their assent) and could have ours done within a week. He was willing to begin the job before receiving our check for half the cost of the job. His estimate was also the lowest of several we received, and his warranty matched the longest (10 years). He proceeded to do the work over several days exactly as described in his step-by-step narrative. He called us every evening to report on progress and likely completion date (we live in another state most of the year, and never even met Brian). The only "issue" was a slight delay in the delivery of one of the replacement skylights (an unusual size). The job site was completely cleaned up each day and after completion. The only thing that could have been better about this experience would be if we had been on hand to personally thank Brian for his superb service.
