It was perfect.

I've met Charles Smith, the owner, when he came as a Buyer's inspector to the house I was selling. I was impressed with his thoroughness and the knowledge of the house systems. I called and explained what I wonted. He said that he could do not a full scale inspection, but a pre-construction consultation, which would save me some money. When I came to the house for the inspection - on time - Charles was already there. In his "consultation", he certainly went above and beyond of what I expected. He looked at the roof and stucco, which, I knew, ware bad and was planning to replace. Charles was able to point out additional problems, which needed to be corrected and which would make the repairs more costly. He alerted me to some indications of pest activity. The pest inspector I invited as a result, found a large termite colony. Charles also pointed out many other things and he made it very clear that all of them were fixable. With his inspection report, he provided a list of service professionals for every house need: specific inspectors like sewer and duct lines, electricians, plumbers, painters, etc. Over the course of my life, I've dealt with many home inspectors - In Boston, MA and for the last 2.5 years in Santa Fe. I think, Charles Smith is the best. He is very knowlegeable, efficient, able and willing to provide practical advise. Extraordinary service!
