+ 1 moreKen worked hard. It went well - he was always on time, he worked hard, and the project was completed in the timeframe that was given.
Description of Work: Ken landscaped my bback yard which is on a steep hill. He terraced, planted trees, built a patio with a handrail on the rock steps on the lower terrace, spread rock, xeriscaped with desert plants and did the watering system. He also built (with a helper) a very large aviary for my parrots in my backyard. The structure is octaagonal, made of redwood and has a peaked roof with a windvane - and a safety door. We worked on the design togeth, and the structure is just as I envisioned. Ken also did some smaller work inside my home - hanging cabinets, bookshelves. Everything was carefully done and I've been pleased with all aspects of Ken's work - both outside and inside.

+ 1 moreKen is my fancy handyman! He's a good guy and I like him. He does good work. I hired Ken when I first moved here. He did a lot of work for me then over a 3 month period. He landscaped my backyard, including tiers made with bricks. He took out railroad ties and planted some trees . He built a redwood aviary for my birds. He is getting ready to install gutters on the front of my house. He has done some tile and bathroom grouting repair as well. He does what he says he is going to do and finishes on time. He does a good job. Even if he is going to be 5 minutes late he calls me. I think he has only had to call me twice. He is always here on time.

+ 1 moreHe also does remodeling. He did a beautiful job on the landscaping. There was a big plot of dead grass when I moved in. I have a sloping yard in the back. He made terraces and expanded the patio. He put in a landscaping patio and terraced it going down to the bottom. He put in trees and shrubs. The aviary is hexagonal and has a pitched roof. It has a whirly-gig on top. Two sides of the aviary are covered. It also has a mister that makes a fine mist like air conditioning to keep the birds cool. There is a safety lock to keep the birds in. It is really cool. I have five birds. He has turned into a good friend.
Description of Work: I used Ken Betzen 1 1/2 years ago to do my landscaping and he built an aviary in my backyard for my birds.
