I think he was about to give up for the day when he apparently had an inspiration and discovered that there was a problem with one of the ground wires. This was fixed and the switches and light have worked flawlessly since.
Description of Work: Fixed an issue that was causing a two-switch light circuit to flip a breaker.

+ -1 moreMr. Solis wired a hot tub for me last spring. I was very happy with his service and called when I needed to have an HVAC unit wired. His bid on the HVAC was less than half of what another electrician estimated for the same work. He showed up when he said he would, provided the bid quickly and scheduled the work withing a few days. He did the work quickly and efficiently. He is very pleasant and easy to work with, no problems with communications or meeting expectations. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Mr. Solis wired 220 from the box where it enters the house to a ductless compressor on the other side of the house. He did the job as I asked him to and he was on time, efficient and did good work.

+ -1 moreArrived on time. Was polite, but concerned about installing the fan in a room with a 20' ceiling. He stated that he would need to rent two ladders to install the fan. It was my understanding that he was going to price the rental and call back with an estimate. I never heard back from him and I still need to have the ceiling fan installed. :)

Description of Work: Javier and his assistant arrived promptly @ 10 a.m. They changed light fixtures (8) and replaced an electrical outlet strip. They worked quietly and neatly. Service was completed @ 1 p.m. I will use Javier in the future for my electrical services.

Description of Work: We have used Javier Solis Electrical three times now, and each time they have been excellent! They are truly the best electricians I have ever used! They have re-wired outlets for us, installed track lights, installed pendent lights, changed out switches, quoted exterior motion lights, repaired existing track lighting, and several other things. Javier is quite thorough in explaining what will be involved in the work and/or installation. There are no "surprises" with him. His prices are very reasonable. He and his assistants clean up after themselves and they are respectful while working in the home. I feel completely comfortable having them in my house. I will continue to use this electrician!

Description of Work: Mr. Solis verified that the existing outlets in our garage could not support a 20amp appliance. He added a 20amp circuit and GFCI outlet in our garage. Mr. Solis provided an estimate before I authorized the work.

+ -1 moreJavier was professional, on-time, quick, and great with call-backs. He was also quite patient about working around the plumbers I had at the house. He did a great job of explaining the work to be done, and then finished the job with care and respect. I'd be happy to hire him again.
Description of Work: I hired Javier to install a 220 volt outlet. In doing so he discovered some poorly-done work by another electrician (doubled-up wires on two breakers). He installed the outlet along with two additional breakers to remedy the problem.

When he installed the chandelier, he found that the box for it had been wired wrong (there was a box for the chandelier, but one had never been installed). He quickly rewired the box and hung the chandelier. I highly recommend Solis Electric.
Description of Work: 4 ceiling fans installed,one bathroom light fixture installed and hung a large chandelier in the dining room.

Description of Work: Mr. Solis arrived exactly when he said he would & only a few hours after I contacted him. He was polite, professional, and refused to accept money as he fixed the problem (power outage-loss of electricity) in a few moments. I asked for extra business cards so that I can give his contact information to all my friends and family. He really knows electrical stuff and I will definitely call him again. Great service and the price was right!

+ -1 moreMr. Solis showed up within 30 minutes of our appointment time. He is very courteous and dedicated to performing quality work. It is obvious that he is very knowledgeable in what he is doing. We felt that the cost for the work was very reasonable. We are very happy with the work that he completed.
Description of Work: Mr. Solis and his crew hooked up electrical service for our landscaping project--we had run conduit up into a pergola in our courtyard for a light fixture and an electrical outlet and also conduit running to an outlet to power a fountain. Mr. Solis installed GFCI outlets and installed the breakers in the load center.

We couldn't get the remote to work. Nothing that he did was his fault. It was just a frustrating afternoon. He was reliable and courteous. He was also thorough and knowledgeable. He was very professional; in fact, he said that I could pay him at the end, if that made me more comfortable.
Description of Work: He did some work on a ceiling fan, but was eventually unable to complete the job.
