Home Depot canceled my gutter replacement quote but without a call from the local salesperson. I received an automated message of cancellation and was referred to a general Home Depot line. This individual had to call the salesperson to find the reason for the canceled quote. The reason was that Home Depot could not do a gutter replacement on my home due to its height and because it would have to be secured on stucco (another thing Home Depot does not do). But I didn't get the answer to the reason they couldn't do work for me until I called the salesperson independently and asked all these questions. For the two weeks leading up to the scheduled quotation, I was told I would get a call if an install couldn't happen. I received the cancellation notice the day of (a saturday) and hours before. Not only did I waste time thinking I'd found a reliable servicer to meet my need but I also was made to wait around for someone who wouldn't be coming. Also, when I spoke with the salesperson, they told me there manager told them to just cancel the meeting for a quote. There was no suggestion to give me a courtesy call. Seeing as how we've done other work through Home Depot (carpet installs, etc.), I would expect that the company would want to provide better representation of themselves in every service they provide. Coincidentally, I rated the salesperson very high because she was very specific in explaining to me why they couldn't do the work and gave me good recommendations. She was professional in all interactions with her.

We ordered 22 cases of this flooring with the idea that Home Depot would install it. The order that arrived contained material from two different lots, 13 cases of one lot and 9 cases of a second. Although the finish was acceptable for the two lots, they were of slightly different sizes, by about 1/32". We also learned that the local Home Depot would not install product unless the store ordered it. For us this meant that our home was in complete chaos with furniture moved and the old flooring ripped up for about a month. When the cases arrived and were delivered to our home, the Home Depot subcontractor that was to install it did not tell us the floor leveling specifications for installation, even though we asked. When they arrived at our house, they told us the floor did not meet the requirements and would not install it. They then left, leaving us on our own to find an installer. We did, but at a cost 1/3 higher than the quoted price from Home Depot, at least partly because of the need to carefully choose planks that fit together from different lots. There was absolutely no problem with leveling. The problems we encountered were both with the flooring order and with a Home Depot policy that should be posted with the material to inform potential customers of installation policy. The bottom line is not to order this flooring on the internet if you want Home Depot to install it without verifying in advance that they will install it, insist on all cases coming from a single lot, and have a separate subcontractor ensure that the floor meets the Home Depot requirement before the installer arrives.

He came out and did the work and finished it in two days. The guy came out to look at it and followed up that evening. I got an estimate from him outlining the labor and cost. He followed up on his paper work and the work was good.

I think their prices are better than Lowes. They have a good selection, as well.

Mitsubishi Minisplits provided by Delta Mechanical. System of 7 units and 2 compressors seems to be working fine now, although me son is concerned that some of the lines on the roof still need to be covered. Installation process was a nightmare and took weeks instead of a few days. Installers said they were extremely over-worked and didn't have time to do the job right. Lines that were to be encased in plastic covers on the roof were left uncovered. We only knew this because our electrician happened to have to go on our roof and told us. We had to call for the technicians to come back multiple times to fix things. Units were making terrible racket at first. Technicians were never on time and might show up in the afternoon for a 8 am appointment or not show up at all. They were always in a rush to get to the next client. We were really sorry we went thru HD for this expensive service. Blinds - we purchased blinds for 7 windows in our house. The blinks look ok, but again just the ordering process took weeks. The blinds on one window didn't look right and the installer said he would request a replacement of one long rail and end caps to improve the appearance. That was weeks ago and we haven't heard anything back from the installation company. It took multiple trips to HD just to complete the order in the first place. The associate who works in blinds there has no help (someone who did help me during the process gave me a price double of what the main associate did) and doesn't have time to adequately process the orders. I paid $50 for someone to come and measure windows, and then the results were lost for a while. You can't get through to the blinds department on the phone, requiring a trip into the store, perhaps to find the associate is not in that day or is busy helping someone else. The associate in blinds knows that they were to replace the rail but has not followed up. Unfortunately, I realized that I would like to get another set of blinds for another window to match the blinds I already bought. I went in to make that request, with the dimensions needed, over 2 weeks ago, and after multiple trips and conversation with the associate in HD have still not been able to get the order completed. Last week he said he hasn't forgotten me, has my phone number, will call me after helping the 3 people in front of me. All he had to do is write up the order, calculate price and let me pay for it so it can be processed. I have decided just to make curtains.

The price was reasonable. They did a really good job for us. The installation of the carpet turned out really well, and they did a fantastic job on the laminate.

Very professional will use again

I told the whole story in the previous question. It was a very vague estimate between $12 and $ 20,000 and when I told them I needed one a little closer to the actual amount, I never hear from Home Depot again.

It was really easy. Just had to go to store, pick the carpet, explain the layout needing carpet. Then, an estimator comes, they call you within a few days and give you an estimate. Then a few days later the installer calls and schedules.
