+ -1 moreLess than 5 years ago they re-roofed prior to the installation of a solar power system. Last month I had a small leak in the living room. I called Ricardo Sanchez and he showed up promptly. He said he thought a patch would work. He provided an estimate the next day. However he now thought it would be better to re-roof the entire section which he had re-roofed slightly less than five years ago. A very significant cost. I replied asking for a re-consideration. I heard nothing for days. I sent another email. He replied: "Yes. Messages received." Nothing more. No other replies for several days. I sent another email. He replied, to my shock and amazement, that his lawyer told him that he should have no further contact with me! I have no idea what this is about and what he is thinking. I am astounded at his rudeness and unprofessional attitude. I never expected it based on our earlier business relations over 20 years. I still have heard nothing from him.
Description of Work: Repair small while still under a nominal warranty.

Description of Work: I contacted Goodrich to receive an estimate on some roof maintenance that my home inspector had recommended. This was done via their website in the middle of August. I did not hear back from them for two weeks so I called their number and left a message. They returned my call the next day and scheduled a visit. The owner of the company showed up at the scheduled time and we climbed on the roof and identified the issues supported by the previous home inspection. It was a 10 minute inspection at best, but it is a relatively small roof on a 2500 square foot home. | |I received the estimate for services within a couple of days. It was professionally done and provided good detail on what services would be offered and the final price including tax. The estimate was good for thirty days. I was surprised by the higher price compared to two other verbal estimates that I had received from other companies. |Below is what the price was based on: | |Services Description |The proposal included a small repair of a torch down roof, and the repairs of the foam roof. | |-Repair: 30 MINIMUM FOAM ROOF MAINTENANCE: Repair Foam Blisters, Repair Sun Damage, Repair Bird, Bee and Beetle Damage with foam and/or caulking. | | |A-2 COMPLETE RE-COAT AT PARAPETS AND PENETRATIONS: Remove gravel 12" from the parapets, penetrations and canales. Clean and grind area to be re-coated, Install coating, Re-install existing gravel. | |I have not made a decision as of 9/17/15 regarding using Goodrich since I am still waiting for another estimate.

+ -1 moreLouis and Israel were very professional and efficient. Took pictures for me to see the problem. The entire transaction took no more than an hour and half from my call to completed job - and all for a very reasonable price. I would call this company in the future without any hesitation! And I will not have roof leak for this coming few days with more rain expected! I cannot say enough good things about the whole operation.
Description of Work: I called this morning about a possible roof leak. Was offered an appointment for Monday (with current rains not surprised they are very busy) - however, I really could not do Monday - so Ricardo said he would send by his crew to at least check and see what, if anything, was needed. They were here within 30 minutes - checked out the roof - found the leak _ got the OK from Ricardo and from me and had the job completed in another 30 minutes. Absolutely above and beyond my expectations.

Description of Work: Part of the roof over the house had to be torn off and a new roof installed including decking. Remainder of the roof had to be removed to the decking and a new foam roof installed. Goodrich management was wonderful. Crew was polite and thorough. Cleaned up thoroughly. This was a one of a kind situation because my addition had been built 60 years ago with no roof decking. They were up to the challenge and made every effort to minimize the disruption and mess for me. Highly recommend them to anyone with roof or wall insulation issues.

He did not charge me for the inspection and provided suggestions for resolution. While I will go through the contractor responsible for this problem, I would not hesitate to call Ricardo for any future roofing needs. Highly recommended!

+ 0 moreI called various roofers and Ricardo was the first to come out and give me a quote. I liked him immediately, but still went on to get other quotes and talk to 3 other roofers just to be sure. His quote was very competitive. The work was completed in a timely and professional manner. When I had questons, Ricardo was happy to stop by and go over my questions with me. There was a minor problem, but it was resolved quickly and professionally. I will definitely use them again!

+ -1 morePerhaps the provider didn't want to mess with small jobs like mine and had trouble saying so. He did go to my house a couple of days later than planned and said he got up on the roof, but didn't take any photos.
Description of Work: When I asked for a roof maintenance estimate, the provider sent me a quote for ripping off and replacing the entire roof, plus permit fees. I called to ask what he saw on the roof that would suggest it is in need of replacement and he said, some sun damage, but could not tell me there were any leaks or cracks. He said he had taken photos, but then texted me and wrote, sorry no photos, but your roof has "two years of life left" on it. The house is only 12 years old & I personally see no damage or severe wear, just needed to have an expert patch up any threatening spots.

+ -1 moreOur house is an historic territorial in Santa Fe. When we remodeled it, there we many choices we had to make. For me, the most important was the roof. Flat roofs require the right covering, perfectly applied and…most important…conscientiously checked and maintained. Our general contractor recommended Goodrich Roofing because he believed they knew the best kind of roof to install over our house. They knew how to install it better than anyone else. And would make sure it was doing its job over the years. He was right on all counts. Considering initial cost, know-how and the integrity of both contractor and the roof itself, I would recommend Goodrich and ask their help on any house we may build in our future.

+ -1 moreI once again contacted Ricardo Sanchez of Goodrich Roofing in Santa Fe, NM about a possible roof replacement. Unlike my experience in the fall of 2010, Ricardo called me back within 24 hours. As always, he was courteous, professional, and most importantly, honest. He told me that he was sorry, but Goodrich in S. Fe has scaled back in terms of personnel and capacity, and the company no longer does roof replacements, just repairs. I was sorry to hear this because Goodrich has done good work for us in the past. Ricardo is a good guy..he'll always shoot you straight. I recommend Goodrich for any roof repairs you may need.

+ -1 moreThe roof maintenance was performed by Goodrich Roofing and I have had no problems with the roof after the service. The workers were on time, unintrusive, and performed the work quickly. They gave me a reasonable warranty on the work.
Description of Work: The Brai roofing at the canales had become loose and when ice dams built up in the winter, water backed up under the roofing and leaked into the house. Goodrich Roofing re-sealed the seams all over the roof and inspected the roof for any problems.

+ -1 moreI called Goodrich - spoke with someone on the phone. I was told he was in a car and he would call me the next day or maybe the day after. It's monsoon season in New Mexico, my roof is show some leaking, and I can't wait until he can maybe call me in a few days! And then, he never even did call me back. Lousy professionalism and service. And they just missed out on an $8,000.00 job.

+ -1 moreI was encouraged by his previous customer reviews, but was sorely disppointed by the lack of professionalism. If you're a roofer, you're a roofer. Perhaps this company has so much business it can afford to pick and choose which jobs to take, but in the interest of full disclosure the company should not say it services an area when it truly doesn't.
Description of Work: We tried to get an estimate for replacing the roof of our house and garage, but once he found out where we live, he refused to come out saying his guys just aren't able to work on a steep roof. Obviously this roofer does not service the area he says, and should put a disclaimer on that he'll only do flat roofs.

+ -1 moreI tried several other roofing companies, who either did not show up for our appointment or did not return my calls. Ricardo of Goodrich Roofing was always on time, provided a written estimate very promptly as a follow up, and got the job. His price was competetive. His crew was very efficient and pleasant. The area was only 600 square feet, so it only took two days. All the roofing was taken down to the deck level and a foam roof with gravel topping was put on. I also had a skylight put in. Ricardo took care of everything. Will definitely call Goodrich again when the main house needs a new roof.

I would have hired them again but they declined and said that they were doing only smaller work and I wanted a complete reroofing done.

+ -1 moreI have had very good experiences with Ricardo Sanchez and Goodrich Roofing in past years and I think that Ricardo is as honest and earnest as the day is long. However, after a recent roof inspection Ricardo said he'd send me an estimate and descriptive materials for various roof types. That was 2 weeks ago and still no word from Goodrich. I am surprised that Goodrich dropped the ball because in past years I thought they did great in terms of punctuality and delivering on promises. That's why I felt I had to rate them lower. I want to "A" rate Ricardo and Goodrich but feel I cannot at this time.

+ -1 moreIn general, roofers in the Santa Fe area don't have a good reputation for being reliable in scheduling and even some of their work. Goodrich, on the other hand, was very prompt, came when promised, and did an excellent job. The lead person (Ricardo Sanchez) plus the three-person team working with him were all very nice and pleasant to work and interact with. They also did an excellent job of clean up plus protecting parts of the house when they sprayed the foam. Furthermore, the price was fair; there was no feeling of getting ripped off at all. No complaints whatsoever. Whenever I need additional roofing work, I won't hesitate to call Goodrich.
Description of Work: Had three very hard-to-find leaks in a roof with both foam sections and a metal section. Solution was to remove some of the old foam in the suspect areas, re-foam those areas, and then to foam over joints in the metal section plus where the metal section butted up against stucco parapet walls. In addition, the roofers looked at the entire roof area on three separate buildings for the roof integrity and any issues; this was done on their initiative without my asking. Some minor bird pecks were found here and there which they fixed.
