Very pleased with the final result. There were some delays getting the special order rubber flooring delivered; but once the rubber arrived, Floormbrt was out to do the installation quickly and they did excellent work.

Although the laminate flooring was a very good price, the sample in the store was very misleading. The flooring looked rather ridiculous with a striking repeating pattern. I had asked if the low price was "too good to be true," but only after they installed the floor did the manager tell me that cheaper laminate repeats itself far more often than more expensive laminate. Had I known how silly the floor would look, I would not have jumped at the price. Also, the floor sample in the store did not repeat itself like the installed floor did. In addition, the installation was poorly done. When I asked the folks at Floor Mart to make some of the issues right or to at least offer some sort of discount on replacement flooring, they were not at all helpful and were in fact quite insulting. I went on to replace the entire floor with another contractor. I would never use Floor Mart again.

They did a good job. Angela Hasted, that I worked with, was great. She was very efficient and took care of things. I could tell she really knew the business.

The greatest thing about Floor Mart is that they'll work out a monthly payment plan with you. There was one particular man, Floyd, who was excellent in customer service and very friendly.

Floyd, the manager of Floor Mart here in Santa Fe, NM really responded to the problems I had with my carpet and he got a team of very efficient and professional carpet installers to fix the stretched carpet in a very timely manner. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful at that store.

My experience with the Santa Fe Floor Mart was a bad one. The primary problem was the ignorance of the salespeople regarding the product being purchased. Although I don't think it was intentional, they often simply didn't know what they were talking about and then refused to stand by what they had said. I will say that they were always courteous, respectful, and well-meaning. So if you know what you need and don't need their expertise, I think you'll probably be alright. However, I'm no expert and I needed knowledgeable service people to help me. So their incorrect answers to my questions and a misleading store sample caused me to make an investment I very much regret. Due to a very good price, I asked them if I would perhaps regret my laminate purchase as an example of "getting what you paid for." I was assured that "laminate is laminate" and that Floor Mart Fine Floors would not sell anything but a fine floor. They told me the good price was simply a good deal to help get people in the door and was not an indicator of any problem I might anticipate with the flooring I had chosen. However, as soon as the installation began, I saw trouble. There was an unusually obvious repeating pattern in the floor that looked ridiculous to me. Now I was aware that all laminate repeats; however, this was really over the top. In addition, my new floor really didn't look like the sample in the store. During one of my many exchanges with the manager attempting to gain some sort of remedy to the situation, he admitted that anyone who had seen the sample in his store would have been surprised by the floor that I received. He added that upon discussing the problem with his colleague at the Albuquerque store, he learned that there are different levels of laminate and that the lowest level does indeed repeat far more than the higher quality laminates. I pointed out that I wished I'd been given that information when I asked for it -- BEFORE I made my purchase. On top of all that, the installation was a bit sloppy and I was misinformed about what type of trim would be necessary. I was led to believe that I needed materials that I did not in fact need. Because the materials were not stock items, I was told I had to pay for them even though the misinformation from the sales associate had been the reason I purchased the items in the first place. When the installer returned at a later date to finish the job and fix the issues from the first installation, he put the flooring transitions in the wrong doorways. Although Floor Mart did offer to return a 3rd time to fix that error, I was fed up and told them I didn't want to waste any more time with them. I would be saving up for a new floor (which may take a while since I'm a public school teacher) since I sure don't like the floor I got.
