I use them for everything. They're way too expensive.

In the past I've found that Comcast Customer serv reps have given me inaccurate information about service plans - and it took hours on the phone to unscramble the situation. I'd switch in a heartbeat except that Cybermesa doesn't have high speed and friends say Century Link is even worse (equipment malfunctions). At least Comcast's primary problem is poor training of reps. Update Fe 2014: I'll have to improve Comcast ratings on responsiveness. We moved a TV & could no longer get channels. A rep contacted over the phone ran remote tests, which didn't fix it. He said we'd have to pay to get fixed, but when I insisted on speaking to a supervisor, the supervisor said they would fix it for free. But the tech who came said no, he didn't care what a supervisor elsewhere said, he'd change us. To move the TV to another existing cable outlet!!! I was furious and vented over the Net. The techs super contacted me apologetically. He and another tech came over and fixed it. They spent hours not only on that but on rewiring all my cable connects. And did not charge me a thing! Now that is outstanding customer service! Supervisor Carlos Perez is my new hero. It turns out that the problem is that in going to digital, comcast/xfinity also made each activated unit addressable. So we'll never get rid of - or stop paying for - the digital adapters, even with a digital TV. And we can't move a TV from one outlet to another without having a tech come do it. Bummer.
Description of Work: After a power outage, I couldn't connect to the internet via Comcast. The customer reps try to be helpful but have inadequate or conflicting info. The tech rep was abrupt and tried to sell me a $70 level of service before they'd investigate. Later, after I spent ages troubleshooting and needed to have my modem reset, the customer rep could get it done & gave up. I called back & got another who reset it correctly right away.

They dug up the driveway one time for the computer and we couldn't even tell. I was amazed. The rates have really gone up after the two year thing expired. I didn't care for the installer. He was kind of messy. The contractors who dug up the driveway were just fine.
