The tile installer brothers were terrific. Carpenter who had to rebuild the closet was terrific. We had to wait for the electrician for about 3 weeks until the contractor told us that the electrician was not available. He seemed to pick a new electrical company that he didn't seem to work with well. The 3 guys that came were awful. They were with us for at least 3 weeks putting in new lighting fixtures, new outlets, and changing old outlets. They lost electrical fixtures that we had just bought. We found some of those fixtures in the garbage. One of the guys was brand new and I don't even know if he was licensed. During that time the contractor only came 1 time. The owner of the electrical company only came once as well. None of the 3 guys really knew what they were doing. There were so many problems with the new electrical outlets that they installed and would blow when we connected with the appliance such as a vacuum cleaner or a blender that we had to have a new electrician come in to re-do most of the electrical project. The contractors general manager did not know how to install the stove fan and he installed it upside down so it never extracted hot air while using the stove. We had to call the electric fan provider and have them come and reinstall the stove fan for an additional fee of $300. After we complained about the electricians we were told that all 3 of them had been fired by the electrical company. The plasterer was a young man who spoke no English so any directions to him were not understood. He was the brother in law of the plaster company owner who would probably have never been hired by an outside company. His work consisted of putting up new sheet rock walls where they had to take down existing structures and he was supposed to fill in all cracks and holes around the doors in the whole house. Unfortunately, he used the wrong material for the plaster repairs and we have dry plaster falling out of the supposedly repaired cracks.We became so frustrated by the delay in completing the renovation (it was supposed to take 2 months and it actually took more than 5 months) that we never had a contractor come back to have the kitchen repainted and kitchen light pendants installed. Our contractor was also supposed to replace our dining room, living room, and hall lights but we realized he was not doing a great job on what he had already finished. Our contractor never came back to see what we were complaining about. He never came back to see what had been done in the kitchen and he refused to pay the additional money that we had to pay to have the stove fan reinstalled correctly. Our kitchen renovation became a nightmare with the electricians and plasters doing a terrible job and leaving garbage outside in the yard and a dusty mess in the kitchen, We would NEVER use Chateau for any of our other projects and we would NOT recommend them to anyone else.
