Description of Work: They came and cleaned the chimney quickly and efficiently. They forgot to check the blower so that when we turned it on, soot shot out all over the place. This might have been avoided had they cleaned the fan to the wood stove. Overall very nice and polite.

I didn't like that soot escaped into the room - breathed it in and found it settled on surrounding furniture, in spite of his efforts to keep it contained. Perhaps this is normal? - this was my first chimney sweeping experience.

 + -1 moreCalled one day, got a return call next morning and the serviceman was tree the next day. Hewas punctual, polite and did a great job. There was no after mess. He also recommended some good ideas about using a kiva fireplace and the best kind f kindling.
Description of Work: Inspected and cleaned chimney. Pointed up some of the brick work. I did not proceed at this time with a recommendation raise the chimney height. They said it would draft better but it is drafting quite well so far.

 + -1 moreI called a day ago to have my kiva fireplace and wood stove inspected (and cleaned if necessary.) We set up an appointment for this afternoon. They guys showed up right on time and were friendly and polite. They inspected both chimneys and told me that the fireplace needed to be swept (no surprise) and that the wood stove didn't need service (a pleasant surprise). They set up to do the work, put down protective cloth and dust barriers and finished the job quickly. They gave me some good advice about the best kinds of wood to use, and how to get the best out of the wood stove (I've never used one before) and went on their way with a nice tip. There were no surprises re: the bill. My total, including tax, was $140, exactly what I expected. I recommend them highly and will definitely call them again.
Description of Work: Inspect and clean (if necessary) a kiva chimney and woodstove chimney. The estimate was $95 to clean, $35 to inspect.
