Description of Work: I had met Steve and his wife through an unrelated Craigslist transaction some months ago. I kept his card handy because everybody needs a plumber, eventually... That day was today. I had heard water running in the downstairs bathroom. I didn't see any water present so went into the garage and there it was, pooling from under a baseboard. I called Steve and they arrived the next morning, on time. He diagnosed that the water was coming from the area between the exterior wall and the garage wall. He was able to reach the area without having to move the duct work. The issue--the galvanized pipe that connects the inside copper tubing to the outside spigot had corroded and was leaking between the walls. He was able to replace the faulty pipe with a new section, soldered in it in place and now we are back up again. The work took a little over 2 hours and the price was reasonable. He advised to get a fan to dry things out, then spray a 50./50 bleach soution on all the wood areas to inhibit mold. Once that is done he said he would come back at no charge to reinstall the insulation and give one last QC. The drywall repair I will take care of.
