+ -1 moreI have wood windows throughout my house and I wanted to stay with wood but replacement costs were crazy. When James came to do the estimate, he let me know most of the windows could be repaired. Action Glass repaired six windows -- including removing the security bars on two at my request -- and everything was done within a week and for about $1000.
Description of Work: Many of the windows in our house had condensation between the panes and needed to be replaced

+ -1 moreIt took 9 months from onsite estimate to finalization of windows and screens. Multiply wrong glass sizes, wrong installation of glass, incorrectly sized screen replacement, and knife blades left in yard.
Description of Work: Installed window glass in master bed room.

Description of Work: They replaced window glass on 9 windows of different sizes and put 3M window film on two glass doors. |they left one large bubble in the window film and said it will cure over the next tow weeks. I am watching it but it has not changed yet. Also they left two sharp used utility knife blades lying around. One was in my living room and one was in the ground in the back yard. My dog found the one in the back yard, but I got it before she did. Not SAFE!

Description of Work: I needed to replace a small bathroom window. Found this company in the yellow pages. When I called, I was put on hold 3 different time for more that 5 minutes each. When I finally was able to have an un interrupted conversation, I was told that our tenant would would receive a call the following afternoon (Wednesday). Today is Monday, heard nothing. Don't bother with these guys!

+ -1 moreWe have tried to make contact with the company for remedy several times, with no response. We then contacted the Better Business Bureau who closed our case on at least one occassion with little follow up from them. And we turned in the packet of documentation to the Attorney General of New Mexico, who sent this company several letters, with no response from Action Glass. The AG closed our complaint telling us we would have to go to court for remedy.
Description of Work: October 6, 2006 we paid for and the company's service folks installed a 35” diameter wood framed window in our home. The service staff came to our home late in the evening. The monsoon’s came that summer and strange stains appeared on our plaster wall at the window sill level and underneath the window to the floor. Each time it rained the stains got darker and more defined. We contacted another glass company (Glass Act) to come and inspect our windows and he found the following with respect to that newly installed window: The wooden stays were broken and the nails that were supposed to hold the window in place, were barely sticking into the wood. Lastly, there was no sealer (caulking or anything) between the window and the house! He said that the rain was running down the glass right into our walls! It was rain water that had stained our plaster and has damaged the inside of the walls in our home.

+ -1 moreThe work that was done was fine. But the company never returned to finish the job despite repeated calls.
Description of Work: I had a two-part window repair job. The first part, replacing the glass was done well and on-time. The second part needed a part. For more than a month I called the company to see if the part had been obtained. My calls were never returned.
