Ratliff Custom Homes

We bought a spec home from him in 2011. Immediately we started having problems. The shower in master leaked, which he hired someone else to fix. We had windows that leaked which we FINALLY had to hire someone else to replace 3 windows cause they were installed incorrectly. Ratliff would caulk them until he quit answering our phone calls. We had stucco problems from day one. Ratliff's solution was to send someone to put a thin layer of product on it and it would be cracked again in a week. We had it fixed by ANOTHER contractor since Ratliff would never fix it. We had stucco repaired and the house painted and still had issues. Ratliff never tried to take real care in fixing it. He now is advertising a stucco business in Ruidoso - what a joke. I would never purchase anything he built. He skimps on his business and the product shows it. He has changed his business name from Ratliff Custom Homes to Ruidoso Custom Homes. He also has a Stucco business so check to see if it is Roi Ratliff licensee before you do business with him. We spent 10s of thousands of dollars fixing this new house we bought from him. He told me that his conscience was clear and he had no problem sleeping - this is after we told him about all the problems we were having. I have text messages to prove it. He will never do the right thing. You will be stuck fixing it yourself at your expense.
