If you are looking for something done quick and cheap, this is not your guy. If you hire Sandia Vista, do not expect it to be rushed. However, expect it to be done correctly, with high quality AND looking great!

+ -1 moreVery pleased with work Gus did. He was involved with much of the work himself. Quick demolition, nice job on new patio. Came out several times to prepare concrete for sealing. Used 2 coats to seal slab. He will also be installing a patio cover for me in the next month.

+ -1 moreEverything went smoothly. Took a couple of days. Everything what had to be cleaned was cleaned at the end of each day. Everyone was polite. My phone calls/emails were returned in a timely manner and all my questions were answered. .Regardless challenging weather, the result is excellent. My neighbors are happy as well. I will certainly hire this company again and I highly recommend their service. Price was also very reasonable.

+ 0 moreGus is at or below the lower prices for concrete work in our area. His estimate did not include taking out dirt found when he removed the driveway and found it was only 3 inches thick, not 4, or for wire reinforcement under the drive, which we wanted, and he added. Other small finds of this type changed the final price upward by about 10%. But we are delighted with the quality of the work done, on the concrete and on the walls. Could not be happier with the work. He is somewhat of a perfectionist. He does seem to over schedule himself or be overly optimistic about the time he will show up. That said, he finished a triple wide driveway, plus the neighbor's, and did wall work on 3 sides of our house in about a week.
Description of Work: Remove and pour broken driveway, built or repaired concrete block walls in 3 areas.

+ 0 moreIt went VERY well. I started out wanting a basic concrete patio and wound up with a beautiful colored, stamped & sealed patio. It matches the Sandia Mtns when the sun sets! It has a nice texture and everyone was so impressed at my son's graduation party. It took a little longer than I wanted (which was why punctuality didn't receive an A). On the other hand, I understand that quality takes time and being patient was totally worth it. They did a great job!
Description of Work: An old concrete flagstone patio that was being cracked and lifted from tree roots needed to be removed. As well, I needed a large dirt area hardscaped to provide a larger outdoor living space.

+ -1 moreSandia Vista's owner, Gus, responded quickly to my call. We set up a meeting to see what needed to be done. He provided a quote by e-mail the next day. We talked again, and I accepted his quote. He scheduled the work around my schedule so I could be at the house if I was needed for any reason. The block was finished in one afternoon - then I decided to add another section. That work was done in one afternoon. The stucco work was finished after the block work. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. I can assure you that if I need any work done in the future, I will call Sandia Vista Construction.
Description of Work: I called Sandia Vista Construction Co. to give me a quote to raise my back yard block wall facing a street. After the wall was raised, Sandia Vista had to apply stucco on the street side to match existing color/texture of the 10-year old wall. Although Sandia's quote wasn't, I recognized the value of contracting with a person that I recognized was a very knowledgeable professional. Gus took the time to explain the work, carefully measure, and estimate the time and costs involved. He provided me with a written quote so we could discuss what was proposed. HIs work force was very courteous and professional as well. The work area was always left in pristine condition - which was appreciated since the house is on the market being shown by realtors. The block work was impeccable! Looks far better than the original wall. And the stucco color was matched perfectly. I highly recommend Sandia Vista Construction for the reasons stated here. Honest, courteous, and excellent work being done. You get what you pay for - sometimes its very worth it to pay a little more for quality work.
