When I went to the site to place the order, the young salesperson was very helpful and professional. The order was negotiated to be delivered in two parts over two days based on their schedule availability. The company owner showed up at ~5:00 pm with a trailer of the pea gravel. I live on a half acre lot with access to the backyard for fifth wheels to navigate with ease. I showed him the location in the backyard where the pea gravel was to be dumped (dumped, not spread) and he immediately and condescendingly refused, claiming that backing over a round wooden trim log might pop a tire on his trailer and his company would be 'doing me a favor' to even bring it into the backyard. Our conversation escalated and since I couldn't receive the pea gravel anywhere else without interrupting the next day's much larger delivery of crushed gravel, he left with the pea gravel still on his trailer. The next day, a subcontractor delivered the crushed gravel. The subcontractor was great to deal with and worked directly with me on timing and placement with a great level of service. When I asked him to pick up the pea gravel (he was not concerned about popping a tire) from the company's site and bring it as the final delivery for the day, the company owner refused to allow him to do it. Over the course of the next week, I called the company multiple times to remove the pea gravel from the overall price I had paid. My phone calls were never answered or returned. Eventually since I had used a credit card to make the purchase, I asked the credit card company to intervene and remove the disputed amount from the charge. This company doesn't own the delivery trucks or hold gravel in inventory. They take the order and then contact subcontractors who do own trucks to go get the gravel from another site and then deliver it. Essentially they are a service company. Since the subcontractors are more service-oriented and the owner doesn't want to provide service, I recommend cutting out the middle man and hiring the subcontractors directly for less cost and higher satisfaction.
Description of Work: I ordered several tons of crushed gravel and a smal. l amount of pea gravel to be delivered to my home.

I ordered the product over the phone which was very easy and efficient. They delivered the stone the next day and the delivery charge was less expensive than many other stone companies I called.
Description of Work: We had 3 1/2 yards of landscape stone delivered.
