From the first meeting, I was struck by how detail-oriented Harald was. He is a forthright and earnest businessman who has many years of experience. When we met, I didn't have to chase after an estimate. He sat down at the kitchen table and worked one up in 5 minutes. As he was the third person I had "interviewed" for the job, and the best candidate, I was able to offer him the job without hesitation. After he began work, I knew I had chosen well. His attention to detail and meticulousness are apparent and I was very very pleased with the results. It's likely that my townhouse looks better than it did for the first occupant. He showed up when he said he would, and informed me when he was going to be delayed. I have never paid someone else to do painting for me before, but I'm glad I hired him to do the work.

Harold is a perfectionist and it shows. He did an excellent job not only painting but repairing the damage on some of our walls. Everything came out perfect.

It was a pleasure working with Harald. He was scheduled out a several weeks, but kept us updated on his schedule and arrived at the date and time he gave us. We gave Harald a key and we had no qualms about his coming and going during the project. He did a lot of work patching the walls and prepping. Ceilings were sprayed and the walls painted and all the work met or exceeded our expectations. The overall experience was great and we have another smaller project we will be having Harald do in the near future. We had gotten a written quote and when the project was completed, he found that he didn't use as much in supplies and cut our price by that amount. We are so pleased we choose Harald for our project.

Harald arrived on time, prepared all surfaces expertly, and painted surfaces in an exacting manner. Harald is very professional, very pleasant and personable. It was like having an expert "friend" doing the work rather than a contractor. I was home during the work, but with Harald I wouldn't hesitate to leave him alone at the residence. I can't say the same for most contractors that I've hired. I would contract with Harald again and would highly recommend his services. My house has never looked better!!

Harald was very responsiveness and came to give me a quote right on time. He also let me text him the paint colors and he took care of everything else from there. He scheduled the job for about 1.5 weeks after the initial quote because he is so busy. he did a great job and I am very happy! i will definitely hire him again for future work.

It went fantastically and the job is very professional looking. Every room is perfect and the fireplace looks fantastic!!! Our air conditioner also went out (we were on vacation while Harald painted) and he even called someone to get our air conditioner working again. He went out of his way for us and we would highly recommend his services to anyone. Expect everything to go well and Harald is a very nice guy as well! We throughly enjoyed working with him and would rate him A++++!

Harald put up plastic all the way around the rooms to protect from over-spray when he did our ceilings as well as protecting the flooring. Harald was very careful and he cleaned up everything when he was done. He returned my calls and was on time. I highly recommend Harald for your painting needs. He will be painting some rooms for me in July.

He went above and beyond to work around our schedule when he came for the estimate and when he did the painting. He was professional, accommodating, prompt and did an excellent job. He did an awesome job on the painting. We will definitely use him again in the future.

Harald is AWESOME! He answers the phone, calls back when he says he will and returns phone call is voicemails are left. He completed the job in the length of time he said he would and he did an EXCELLENT job. We are VERY happy! And he was able to accomodate us with our color choices. He cleaned up after himself and didn't leave a mess and we are very happy. Would use him again if needed.

Couldn't be happier with the whole experience. Harald went above and beyond what we expected in the painting of our newly purchased 18 year old home. He is a perfectionist as a painter and even took care of many imperfections in the sheet rock as he painted. Fixed previous "mudding" issues, filled nail holes, and left us with rooms that look brand new. He was kind, courteous, and helpful from start to finish. We will definitely use him again in the future for other painting jobs as well as highly recommend him to family and friends.

After attempting to spackle, sand and paint our own walls, we decided to have a professional come out and do the best job possible for our new home. We got that and more with Harald! We wanted one of our living room walls to be red, and were having a very difficult time getting the paint to go on smoothly and evenly, due to prior damage to the wall by the home's previous owner. My husband had become so frustrated with this wall that it eventually sat unfinished for a week before we found Harald. He was able to paint the wall beautifully, as well as paint our water damaged bathroom walls. After seeing how beautiful our new walls were, we asked Harald if he would be able to paint the dining room as well. He was very accommodating and worked hard to help make our new home look amazing. He communicated with us often, and we felt like we were his number one priority. His prices were extremely reasonable, too! We found our new painting professional - thank you, Harald!

Based on the great reviews I read on Angie's list, I called Harald for an estimate. He came out within a week to assess the job. Originally, we were planning on having the popcorn ceiling removed and the ceiling painted in our entryway, dining room, living room and master bathroom. This job involved 13 foot ceilings in the dining room, which is why we decided to find a contractor rather than removing it ourselves as we had in other rooms. Harald's estimate was so reasonable that I called him the following day for an estimate on painting the walls in the entryway, dining room and living room as well, which is what I had been planning to do myself. My impression of Harald was that he is someone with good integrity, so I didn't feel the need to get other estimates for this work. Removing the popcorn ceiling was challenging work and very messy, but Harald did an excellent job of containing the mess. He repaired a large hole in a hallway wall and you'd never know it was there now. He spent a lot of time plastering irregularities in the ceiling and walls, including a lot of obvious seams in the kitchen ceiling (which was actually a last-minute add-on that he was willing to do). Harald painted two coats of paint on the ceilings and walls and did meticulous work. Before leaving the job each day, he made sure to clean up well. I would give Harald an A+ for a rating if I could and feel very lucky that I found him on Angie's List!

Harald came out to do an estimate for us on Dec 1. We also received estimates from two other companies. The three estimates were pretty close, but harald inspired the most confidence in my wife and I. Harald is the owner and painter of his company and that increased our belief that we would get the consistancy and quality. My wife also liked Harald's self-descriipription as a perfectionist (a good trait in a painter). We set up a time for him to start painting and he was always timely and responsive to our needs. We liked his work so much that we added a couple rooms to the job. Harald did a fantastic job on both the finishing work and on the painting. His work is awsome. We feel like we are living in a new house again. I Highly recommend Harald for any of your painting needs.

I was so so so impressed with the work Harald did for us. He was very responsive and professional. He quickly fit us into his busy schedule and was so easy to work with. Harold returned my RFQ call within hours on a Saturday. He came to our house within days to quote an entire interior repair and paint at a very reasonable price. Harold was able to start the job within weeks and finished as expected in five days, even with significantly more repair work than expected. The results were nothing short of fantastic. I called Herald and he came to our home w/in a couple of days to give us an estimate. I called him to find out when he could come paint an interior room. Thankfully, he cañete w/in a week. He was very polite, quiet and the room turned out great! My husband was surprised at how well the paint job was done.

Harold was prompt, cheerful and very courteous throughout the project. He was scheduled to arrive 8:30 AM on Thursday, but when he was caught in traffic he called at 8:20 to say he would be a few minutes late. I've had experience with a painter who had a flexible idea of time so I never knew exactly when he would arrive so I appreciate Harold's thoughtfulness. He had scheduled the job for two days as he had another job starting Monday the following week. When the paint for the storm door bubbled, Harold wasn't satisfied and repainted the door. Because my job was going to take longer, he was willing to come in Saturday to finish the work. This shows me that he respected the customers after me and wanted to honor his commitment to them. I recently had knee surgery so he did everything he could to make this job convenient and easy for me. He is a quality painter who is also considerate. I would definitely use him again.

It is no accident that Mr. Christiansen is at the top of the list! He has definitely earned his place there. I contacted him and he set a time to come over for an estimate within several days. He was polite, professional and clear with his estimate and when he would be able to complete the job. He took a paint sample I provided for color matching when he left. Initially he told me it would be three weeks, but I was pleasantly surprised when he called to say he could get it done sooner. I also need to mention that I didn't feel it was necessary to get any additional estimates. This was because of my comfort level with him and the fact that I felt his estimate was fair. Harald is the type of person you immediately feel comfortable with and have no doubts about giving him access to your home. He completed the job in less than two days which is amazing. He works quickly, but the quality of his work is top notch. He is a perfectionist and it is very apparent he takes pride in his work. He is extremely neat and if it weren't for the beautiful, freshly painted walls, I wouldn't have known he was there! He stuck to his original estimate even though he went beyond my expectations. This was a great experience for me and I hope that I have an opportunity to refer him to someone in my circle of influence.

Harold called back within 24 hours. After I gave him a quick overview of what I wanted (over the phone), he stated that he was unable to meet my needs (stripes/color blocking). He was very professional and I appreciated his quick response and honesty as to what his strengths and limitations were.

Great experience. Harald gave a very fair quote, and even after putting in more work (patching, repairing) than anticipated stuck to the bid. He was very pleasant and did a great job of cleaning up after the job. I hope to hire him again.
