DNJ removed the jacuzzi tub and this was not easy. They also removed the dishwasher, vanity, and toilet. They did a good job doing these items. Then the problems began; DNJ installed the tub in the wrong location making the tile work nearly impossible to do. When we asked them to move the tub we were told the tub could not be relocated. In addition, they mounted the shower valve incorrectly and this was pointed out by the remodel contractor who was hired to install the tile. When the hardibacker was removed to fur out the wall, the remodel contractor was able to determine the tub could be moved and discovered the isolation valves installed by DNJ in the wall were leaking. At this point, we asked the remodel contractor to move the tub into the proper location, redo the plumbing work done by DNJ, and mount the shower valve in the proper location. We were grateful the remodel contractor was able to fix the poor workmanship left by DNJ plumbing. Then came more issues with DNJ plumbing. We paid them for the full scope of work before we found all the problems in workmanship (big lesson for us). When DNJ returned to complete their work, we told them we had much of it done by the remodel contractor and we would expect a refund. In addition, we needed DNJ to call for a final inspection on their permit. DNJ refused to call for a final inspection stating that since they did not perform the work then they would not close the permit with the city. At this point, we released (fired) DNJ Plumbing from the project. We are not sure if they will refund us for work they did not perform but were paid for. The bigger issue at the moment is that we are now essentially held hostage by this plumbing contractor and will need to consult with the City of Rio Rancho to see what must be done to close the plumbing permit and then the building permit. The reason we are spending so much time leaving this feedback is to let potential future customer know how we were treated by DNJ Plumbing and the substandard workmanship we experienced on our project.
Description of Work: We were renovating a rental property and hired DNJ Plumbing to remove a jacuzzi tub, install a regular bath tub, install garbage disposal, remove and replace a dishwasher, remove and replace a toilet, and remove and replace a bathroom vanity. All this work required them to pull several plumbing permits with the City of Rio Rancho.

We bought a new house that needed a lot of work. Dan answered lots of questions, made good suggestions, provided estmates, and completed work that was consistent with the estimates he provided. He is always very easy to reach by phone and responds quickly if there is something that needs to be fixed right away. When we had a new roof installed, the roofers created a minor problem with the new evaproative cooler (which Dan installed two months ago), and he came over within a couple of hours and fixed the problem. He charges a little more than my prior plumber, but he's very responsive and easy to reach, and will come by to take care of small problems at no charge. He suggested the re-circulating hot water pump for the master bath, which gives us instant hot water - it took 4 minutes to get hot water back there before we had the pump. This is an example of a suggestion of his that we wouldn't have thought of otherwise. He is also very good about doing things accoding to building codes, which I appreciate. I plan to continue using his services.
Description of Work: Provide/install new 50 gallon water heater, provide/install new AeroCool evaporative cooler, provide/install Easy Water treatment system with Iron Shield, install 2 toilets, provide/install re-circulating pump for hot water to master bath.
