Difficult to work with. Issues not addressed during or after completion. Left to deal with subs instead of him taking care of what he was being paid to do. Still trying to get some of the issues resolved or paying additional funds to other service providers to get work corrected.

Tucker Renovations, Inc. (lic# 9144000878), P.O. Box 1267, Portales, NM 88130 built our house in Roswell. Our complaints are with the compliance with our specifications and desires, the quality of the workmanship, and the unsatisfactory completion of punch list items. A few examples are as follows:o There has been no action in the stucco problem: incorrect color, wrong size trim, poor finish, undercoat wires exposed and rusting, and severe cracking/pieces falling off.o Some of the windows don't seal out the wind and sand when closed. According to the window manufacturer the problem is out-of-square window frames. No satisfactory action has been taken to fix the problem.o We asked for no roof vents because we wanted a powered roof exhaust fan, but we got the vents and the fan, too, although the fan was installed after we pointed out it was missing. The powered roof fan was not installed correctly, and the contractor refrused to fix the problem. A section of the roof leaked and had to be re-shingled. At that time we had the roofer remove the roof fan, as it was not installed correctly causing noise throughout the house when it was on. o Contractor ignored our requests for colors in several places, e.g. shingles, stucco, tile grout, cabinets, and bathroom counter top.o Water accumulates in a puddle in front of the door, as the concrete is not graded away from the entrance.o We asked for a large cased opening instead of a door for the master BR closet; we got the door.o There are blemishes (dents, scratches, ill-fixed damages) in the woodwork throughout the house.o Other problems were reluctantly fixed but beg to be mentioned in order to obtain a flavor for the magnitude of the problems with this builder: 2 colors of tile in the foyer and living room, driveway with hump too great for car to drive over. Proposed roofline caused water run-off over front door, and our request for a different roofline was ignored. Now we have gutters as a compromise fix..Dealing with Tucker Renovations has been futile. When legal action was mentioned to Mike Tucker, he said, "Bring it on!"
