PHC Systems

I cannot praise this business highly enough! My swamp cooler died on me, so I called PHC on Friday, they had a technician out at my house to look at my system and give me a free estimate by the following Monday. I was able to order the swamp cooler I wanted, and have it installed by the end of the week. It was very affordable, and everyone I talked to throughout this process was pleasant and professional, and they took the time to answer any questions I had. I will be going to PHC Systems for all of my heating and cooling needs in the future.

The customer service at PHC is top notch. Great service from scheduling to technicians . Efron was our service tech. He is friendly, knowledgably, and honest. He assessed our problems, gave us his expert option and fixed everything in a timely manner. We could not have asked for anything more. THANK YOU for going above and beyond.

We absolutely love this place. We've used them to service our swamp cooler and furnace in the past and also to replace our water heater and always had exceptional service. When it came time to switch to refrigerated air, Glen (the owner) came out and thoroughly looked everything over, explained in detail exactly what would be done, and even talked me through what type of furnace we might want for the long-term as far as maintenance (and it wasn't the most expensive one). We were fortunate enough to have acquired our own equipment and Glen was extremely accommodating in all aspects of this process. Amanda was amazing and incredibly helpful in setting up the installation date and was so friendly, and Nathan and Richard were fantastic installers. They showed up on time and NEVER stopped working. I mean they never, ever stopped moving and they did a wonderful job. Glen came back to check everything once they were finished, showed me how everything worked, and we were done! If there was a problem, I never knew about it. It was flawless start to finish and I was charged exactly what I was quoted. We feel extremely secure that the job was done right and not only highly recommend them, but we'll definitely use them again.

Completed in 2 days. They were not messy and cleaned up after themselves. Professional and polite.

PHC did a great job. They were able to schedule me the day after I had called and left a message. The two men who came to my house were very courteous and professional. installed new pads- cleaned out system and got everything running. Found minor breakage- he fixed those. I do this job myself every year- but I hurt myself and couldn't climb on roof. So, I know what needs to be done. Tech was friendly and did great job. Several years ago, they did repairs on water heater - responded quickly - great job. He showed up on time and made sure everything was running before he left

I discovered an underground water leak in my yard next to my foundation. I called PHC late in the afternoon. they showed up first thing the next morning, excavated the area around the leak and discovered a broken water line. The line happened to be broken directly under a concrete brick wall which joined to my house. In a short 3 1/2 hours PHC had the leak found, the broken pipe removed and replaced, and the yard filled back in and the area cleaned up for a very reasonable price. PHC has serviced my heating and air-conditioning for over 10 years and will continue to do so as well as take care of all my plumbing needs. I highly recommend them to everyone.

PHC does very good work. They are very responsive, except they don't work on weekends. I think he is competitively priced. All of my neighbors use him too. They have always arrived on the day they said they would, and if they are going to be late they always call to let me know.

They are very good and I haven't had any problems. They charged $65 to turn off the cooler. They charged a little more in the spring because they put in new pads. After a month it didn't seem to be working so they came out and it was clogged with sand. They didn't charge me to come back. They charge by the hour for the drain cleaning. It is around $85 an hour. They are real good and I would use them again. They call me.

Overall, the experience was good. They completed the work in a timely manner and did a good job. I'm happy with their services.

They remodeled my main bath half way which included the ceiling fan, a lavatory and a new sink. I am still planning on putting in a new type of fiberglass shower by taking the tub out. They also remodeled a second half bath with a new lavatory, a new toilet and a new ceiling fan. I have used them over and over again because I don’t figure that I can get better than what the plumber is. I have probably paid them about $2000 or $3000 for the work done by them this year. In the last 3 years, I have probably employed them at least 6 times. I don’t call anybody else and I only call them. I had a new cooler installed in my house this past spring in April and that project was about $1000. I like them because their price is right. I keep going back to them because the hassle of trying to get several different people and estimates is overwhelming. I like to stick with them because I know that they do a good job. They put in a new forced-air heating system for me about 2 or 3 years ago. It was about $2500 for that project. They are excellent and their price is good. Everything about them is excellent. PHC Systems is a small organization. It’s a one man ownership with 2 or 3 workers. He is not overwhelmed with his staff. He is able to accomplish jobs with the small workforce that he has. The plumber in the way of plumbing, heating and cooling is a big part of keeping our home in a good shape.

They did a great job

This work was done on a system that had a boiler replaced 2 years ago by another company. I never felt that job was done properly. The original call was for no hot water. Determined that the circulating pump was bad, also confirmed my suspicion that the pressure gauge and valves weren't working properly. The pump was fixed right away but we had to wait on parts for the pressure valves. During this time I noticed that several heat zones were stuck on. It was determined that the zone valves were full of dirt and not closing. They replaced one faulty valve and got another shut off, but then another one failed. The boss (sorry I don't remember his name) suggested ,instead of replacing the valves one at a time ,to flush the system, replace all the valves at once and move them up off the floor so they would be easier and less messy to service. They also redid and cleaned up the wiring.At this point I asked for an estimate for all this and got a verbal estimate of $1800. I knew that the zone valves cost about $130 a piece, and the pipes are copper so I thought that was reasonable. We set a day that I could be home from work. I got a call from their office at 7:45 that morning that they were on the way. 2 and at times 3 men worked all that day, finished the job, thoroughly checked the system, and cleaned up their mess. The bill was for exactly the estimate which pleasantly surprised me. We still don't know where the dirt in the system came from but the boss took a water sample to have tested at the college to see if that tells us anything.

All in all the company did an good job. They were able to go out, and repair the problem promptly. I would use their services again. My one frustration was that they made it difficult to get an estimate. The woman in the office indicated that it would probably be cheaper to just have them go out and fix it. I offered to agree to a price limit and asked if they would send me something in writing that said they would stop if it was going to be over $300 so we could re-evaluate. She stated they did not have email or a fax and could send me nothing in writing. I thought this was unprofessional and sort of ridiculous. The price turned out to be $220 and the service was good. However, I found the lack of email or fax frustrating because it was for a property that I own where I am not in the same town. If they had charged me an outrageous price I might have had no legal recourse. I think it is just sort of a small town shop. However, they were prompt, they fixed the problem, and I thought the price was reasonable. They just want you to trust them without any kind of formal agreement. I did that only because I had seen good recommendations on Angie's List. I would use their service again based on their last performance. They did follow through with what we verbally agreed to.

I called another company 1st, They told my aging mother that my furnace was too old and no parts were made for it anymore. They wanted to sell me a new furnace (only the 1 brand they sold). Not only that, they wanted to rewire my new water heater for another $350! They told my mother that my house could blow up any minute! Obviously they were trying to take advantage of an old woman. I then called PHC, who over the phone could tell me they were happy to work on my older furnace and parts were no problem. The owner himself came out to do the estimate and showed me the problem. Just a thermocouple. I really appreciated that he took time to explain and show me the problem. He sent a very nice worker out the next day and they were happy to work around my work schedule. The woman who works on the phone is a bit stuffy, but overall I was hugely satisfied. When I had the thermocouple replaced 6 years before by a different company and it cost 15 dollars more!

Two men came out to my house in uniform and were very polite. They arrived within a few hours of my call and got right to work. They replaced a broken bolt and fixed a leak. The only charged me for the time it took them and not a minute more. This is the best experience I have ever had with a heating/cooling company!

I WAS SO PLEASED WITH THIS COMPANY COMING TO DO THIS FOR ME BECAUSE SOME ONE ELSE HAD DONE A BAD JOB OF TRYING TO REPAIR MY PIPES. SO THIS COMPANY WAS ONLY IN MY HOME TREE DAYS AT THE MOST AND DID A GREAT JOB INSTALLING AND REPAIRING FOR ME.
