They guided us carefully through their streamlined building process (we had never built a house before), and we were delighted to find the entire experience to be enjoyable. It was like working with family -- and indeed, ABS IS a family operation. We put aside any worries about the house and were able to focus on going back to our jobs and getting our lives back to normal. We would highly recommend hiring ABS to build any structure -- commercial or residential, large or small.
Description of Work: Our house high in the mountains burned to the ground in late April, and we needed to rebuild quickly -- before the winter snows flew. Alternative Building Solutions (ABS) offered an extremely well-built house constructed partly offsite (in their yard) to telescope the building schedule, reduce costs, and guarantee quality control. Work began in June, and in late September ABS moved the structure to our homesite for add-ons (an attached garage, a large sunroom, and covered porch) and final completion (interior finishing work and exterior stucco and color coat, metal roof, landscaping, etc.) We were able to move into our new home in December, just ahead of the brunt of winter. Workmanship was superb throughout the process, the quality of materials was excellent, and we got a beautiful, efficient, all-around lovely home that we enjoy each and every day.
