Ace Painting And Home Repairs

Water was dripping from the doorway in my master bedroom after a heavy rain. I called Ace Painting and Home Repairs. They came the next day and informed me that who ever installed my swamp cooler had done a poor job. They put my swamp cooler up on stands and patched the roof around it. No more leaks. Another leak on my front porch, replaced siding and flashing and painted the siding, leak gone. I was so impressed with their honesty and fair prices that I have called them back several times. I get a list of jobs I want done around the house and then call them. I have a small closet in my kitchen (pantry) that used to have wire baskets on the door. They all fell off, Brad and Mitch rehung them with good screws. I had a leaky toilet, fixed. 2 broken chairs, fixed. Broken lamp, fixed. I could go on but the truth is that these guys are good. They began by being 1 hour late. Two oddly dressed young men, long baggy paints, belts low on hips, 7 year old son of one of the men roamed around the house all day. They spent a lot of time painting over mistakes, did not sand the doors, left a space between the wall and ceiling. Spilled paint on floors, on tub floors and on shower walls. They were there for 9 hours, from 10 AM to 7 PM. Spilled white paint on walkway to house, had no brushes or rags to clean it up. Asked for soap, brushes and bucket. Used a knife to scrape some of the paint off cement. Owner inspected job next morning and said he could fix it for 3 weeks. Thereafter, refused to answer his phone. He did, however, refund the $160 cash for labor. Spoke to brother, Brad Schultz who at first said he had nothing to do with this (co-owner of business), then said he'd try to do repairs in two weeks or so. Unacceptable. We redid the bathrooms ourselves and it was harder than doing the whole thing in the first place and wasted our paint.
