Yee Painting

Mr Yee came by our house in the early spring, handing out cards and looking for work. At the time we weren't ready for anything to be done, but we finally called him about the first week in June. He was prompt with the appointment for an estimate to repair the ceiling, patch holes in walls, and clean the beams and repaint. His estimat was quite reasonable, so we hired him. I estimated about three or four days to do all the work. He took two. The first day he repaired the damaged sheetrock where the ceiling had been damageed by a wrongly placed foot in the attic, refinished and taped it off for texturing, repaired all the holes, sprayed the texture, and then began cleaning the beams before painting. Next day he finished the cleanup and painted. We were so impressed with the speed and quality that we asked him to paint the hallway and the ceiling in the bathroom. It was a week before he could come back, but it was done in a day and a half, Wow! Next we discussed laying the laminate floor. I am a pretty good finish carpenter, but old knees and a replaced shoulder limit my capabilities. I showed him my plans for the joint between the new floor and the existing tile and he agreed to let me help. I ran the saw and a router table, and he laid the flooring, giving me pieces to cut while he put in what I has finished. Four hours later it was finished. My sister (it's her house) was very happy with the job, she's handicapped and uses a walker. The joint between the tile and the old carpet would catch the walker legs and the new floor is very smooth. I'm putting "Timo" (Don't try to pronounce his first name!) on speed dial!
