Welcome to Perry Advanced Welding, proudly servicing New Mexico and the surrounding areas. Our goal is to complete your project to perfection. We look forward to building long lasting relationships with the customers that we serve. Call us today! You will not be disappointed!

"Mr.Perry was a pleasure to deal with.He was extremely detail orientated, excruciatingly polite and punctual at all times. The fence he installed has gotten many positive reviews from neighbors and family. I would hire him again for any fencing I needed and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a quality fence. Unfortunately he only does metal but he is great. He also does automatic gates if you need them."

"I was given an estimate for a wood privacy fence to raise the height of my rock wall and a wrought iron gate for entry into the back yard. The wood fence is all uneven along the bottom, the fence is not the height that was discussed and the height of the fence is not the same height all the way around as was discussed. The fence is also not stained as was also discussed. The job took over 2 1/2 weeks as he only work at most 3 hours a day and then he tried rushing the work over the last two day because he was going to be getting surgery and would be out of commission. I corrected his work a few times with the height of the boards not being where we discussed and he tried charging me for the additional boards he had to purchase as a result of his error. On the last day I pointed out some boards that did not look right as he had cut them too short and then tried putting smaller pieces on the bottom and I also asked about the stain. He said he could come back the next day and stain it and replace those boards. He did return and replace the boards but was only there an hour so there is no way he stained the fence. When i asked him about it he stated it was a clear stain to allow the boards to age naturally overtime. Mind you I had asked him at least times to stain it the color to match my pergola. When I confronted him about the quality of work (the boards being uneven and the lack of stain) he had the nerve to call me a scammer. It's been 3 1/2 weeks since he started the project and it is not finished. I would not recommend this guy for any projects."

Wrought iron services FAQs

As with any project or material, installing wrought iron fencing has advantages and disadvantages. Some pros and cons of this fence material include:

Pros

  • Long lifespan with proper maintenance

  • Very durable

  • Aesthetically pleasing

  • Functional as well as decorative

Cons

  • Requires regular maintenance and cleaning

  • Expensive compared to other fence materials

  • Limited privacy

A high-quality wrought iron fence should last a lifetime or even centuries. However, making your wrought iron last as long as possible will require regular maintenance as the material is susceptible to corrosion and rust. Maintenance involves cleaning the fence with soapy water every six months and applying a new coat of paint yearly. While you’re cleaning your wrought iron fence, scrub away any rust or corrosion to maintain its look and viability.

Installing a wrought iron railing costs about $2,600 on average, depending on the size and your location. Costs range from $700 to $4,600 for most projects. Typically, wrought iron railings cost about $50 to $120 per linear foot, not including labor. Additional cost factors include the material and component costs and any custom work. Different wrought iron railing finishes include:

  • Plain black: $50–$70 per linear foot

  • Galvanized wrought iron: $60–$90 per linear foot

  • Ornamental wrought iron: $60–$120 per linear foot

A wrought iron fence is worth it if the material suits your home’s needs and the cost fits within your budget. However, wrought iron is not the best choice if you’re looking for a fence that increases privacy. However, if you want a fence and a security gate that complements your brick or stone home with a classy, timeless, and elegant look, wrought iron fencing is a good option. As far as the longevity of wrought iron fencing compared to other materials, wrought iron wins almost every time.

Wrought iron fencing costs about $3,100, on average, ranging from $470 to $10,000 or more, depending on the type of fencing, the length, and any custom design work. You should also consider additional cost factors, such as metal thickness, labor costs in your location, permits, old fence removal, tree or bush removal, land grading, gates, and columns. Wrought iron fence materials cost around $1,925 to $3,500 per project, or $25 to $35 per linear foot.
