The repair man was punctual and agreed with me that the dishwasher needed a new off/on switch. He took the machine apart and said he would look on the internet for the part. The second visit, he brought two other men with him, which I was not comfortable with. They did not agree on a fix for the machine with one repairman suggesting that epoxy would fix the problem, but one of the other men not agreeing with that decision. The repairman put epoxy around the broken part and said he would continue to look for the part I needed. He called within two weeks and said he could not find the part. After one more attempt at finding a repairman, I finally found a company in town that sells ASKO appliances, and they have ordered the correct part.
Description of Work: My ASKO dishwasher needed to be repaired. Since the brand is not American made, the few appliance repair services in town don't repair that brand. The Appliance Doctor said they would come out and look at it. After two visits, they concluded they could not get the part needed, but advised that they could fix the part by coating it with epoxy. The fix did not hold.

They didn't diagnose the problem properly and it still doesn't work. They came and looked at it and said what part it was. They ordered that part then came back and replaced it, but it isn't that part or else not just that part. It may just be the circumstances, it may not just be there. They weren't able to fix the problem. They are expensive. They appeared to be professional, but didn't solve the problem.
Description of Work: We called The Appliance Doctor to fix our ice maker on our refrigerator.

When the call was made for service to a broken refrigerator, no mention of payment was discussed until the service man arrived and asked how payment was to be made. They don't bill, so I was informed to call the office to provide payment. The lady that answered the phone was rude and obnoxious as I tried to inform her that I would make payment at the office immediately. I informed her I could drive there NOW, but she said they were located in Anthony, Tx, which is a 45 minute drive out of Las Cruces, therefore making it impossible to take care of business in a timely manner. So I lost the service. The service tech left without saying a word to the occupants. The next appliance repair company I contacted completed the work without incident...
Description of Work: The service man showed up but left without telling anyone.
