In February of 2015 we listed out house with Exit Realty, the realtor was Irma Chavez-May (5 star). We had our first showing almost immediately by Steinborn Realty. They buyers came back a second time and made an offer. We countered and the buyers accepted our counter. During the entire sale process we were harassed with requests from the buyers Steinborn realtor thru our realtor to allow the buyers belongings onto our property before closing. Our answer was always no, not until after closing and it never changed. On Friday March 27th our buyers house was to close first and then our house. The paperwork for the buyers house did not arrive for their closing until Friday afternoon at 4:45PM. So the buyers closed on their house that afternoon but not our house until Monday. And again, they asked if they could move into our house, and again we said no not until after closing on Monday. On Saturday March 28th our realtor went to our house to retrieve the lock box. She found that buyers realtor had given the them the key to the our house and allowed them to move into the house three days before closing; this is after we had repeatedly said no. Our realtor confronted the buyers telling them they could not take possession of the house. I Called the broker at Steinborn Realty and he did not do me the curtesy of a return call. He later sent an email to our realtor saying all communication should be thru the proper channels. What are the proper channels when a realtor breaks the law, and destroys all faith an trust that a realtor can be trusted with our house key? This was our eleventh home sale and we have never been so violated. I wanted to file a complaint with the New Mexico State Realtor Board but the process got so complicated I gave up.

We hired Steinborn in May of 2010. We experienced no issues at first. We ran into some minor issues with our tenants, but as every tenant can be unpredictable we brushed it off. Our first major issue with the company was how unorganized they seemed to be. We'd speak with one agent and get tossed to another every time. They lack communication, we'd ask about one thing and get told, "Uh you'll have to talk to whoever you spoke with last." We'd request paperwork for work being done or say that we did a walk through. Empty promises. Walks throughs- Every agent was 15-20 minutes late in meeting us at the property. Had little to no knowledge of the property or any damage done unless tenant pointed it out. We requested a walk through a month in advance, arrived at our property on our appointment. Late agent again, asked us if we knew if they told the tenants about a walk through. In fact tenants did not know about any walk through. Luckily let us in, to our horror the house was a disaster. We feel this company is poorly managed, unorganized, and not even remotely doing what they are suppose to. I will never recommend this company nor hire them again.
