They came out and surveyed the problem and was able to correct it. They were great both times.

Took pictures of the furnace so I could judge also.

My husband contacted them, explaining that we needed to convert our evaporative air units to refrigerated air. They took our information, and said someone would call the next day. No one called, so he called back the next week. They made an appointment with a 3 hour window. Note that other estimators made specific time appointments and kept those appointments. Even with a 3 hour window, they missed the appointment, and we have not heard from them. These people will waste your time.

They came in on Friday and installed a new A/C- Heating package. They were fast and responsive. I will use them again and will give a good recommendation to any one who asks about their services.

Tech arrived same day that I called. He was very professional and found the problem relatively quickly. My AC was working within an hour. I was previously using another company for heating and cooling. I'll be calling Starrett's from now on as well as recommending to family.

Unbelievably well.! Work was completed around carpenter's schedule, was still completed within the day.

I called and scheduled an appointment. No one showed up. No one called to reschedule. No one came later. Nothing.

I called Starrett's (formerly Climate Masters) at 2:15 on a Tuesday afternoon and spoke to a very nice lady that said she would have someone get in touch with me about making an appointment. By 3:30 that same day the tech (Jim) had determined that my problem was caused by a bad capacitor and he replaced it. He took extra time to explain to me what the capacitor does and showed me what the meter readings should be and what they were on the bad part. From the time I placed the original call to the finished job it took a little more than 90 minutes. I'd say that is excellent! I got follow up calls from Jim later in the evening just checking on how the unit was operating and at 9 am the following morning both he and Daryl came by the house to check and make sure everything was still functioning well. I didn't need Angie's List to find these guys, they were the ones that installed the ac when our house was built ~ 10 years ago. They came out once after that to replace (under warranty) a bad fan motor so I knew they were honest. Their service has always been fast, the repairs have been accurate, and the price fair. I can't recommend them enough!

This company came out and fixed my AC within 10 minutes. This was after I had dealt with One Hour AC for 2 days trying to get them to fix my AC. Very long story short--do not hire One Hour, but do hire this company.

asked vendor to check air intake on a/c unit as air filter was bowed upwards as if air intake was too strong. tech examined filter and indicated nothing wrong. when the filter gets dirty, he loses flexibility. he then checked unit on the roof and found a heat sensor/controller was cracked. he showed me a picture and I agreed to have them order and replace sensor. we also agreed that the heating unit needed cleaning...I said to please proceed. I did not want to wait until winter. very very friendly and professional company. I would not hesitate to recommend or use again.

The installation was excellent, well done and very professional. Outstanding overall. Absolutely no negative comments. In fact I have contracted with them to install a second unit in the near term.

Called Daryl in early morning to tell him my gas heater was not working. Found him on Angie's List. . He came out within the hour and discovered a minor problem -- door not shut properly when filter was changed. He could have told me I needed a new furnace which was possible because it is 25 years old and I was prepared to replace. I do plan to replace it and will give Daryl priority when I do.

I required service of my mothers wall heaters in a city 300 miles from my home. I made the apt and arrived before scheduled apt time. Starrett did show and looked at my problem. The service man appeared completely at loss and offered the most expensive repair for approx $4,000. This house is 70 yrs old we told Starrett the electrical service would require upgrade to support his proposal. He said he would have an electrician come out to see what needed to be done. Long story short, we never heard from this company again. Other service company we chose had no problem finding an easy solution and at a reasonable cost. They were prompt, courteous and gave us a bid on the spot. And the job was done in one day. Don't know if u can/will include this but Sun City is the only company I would ever recommend in Las Cruces NM.

Unit started blowing hot air yesterday afternoon. I called Starrett's at 5:00 pm and they were able to have a technician at my house the next moring at 9:00 am. Mike, the technician was on time, and had the unit up and running again in less than 15 minutes. Mike explained everything to me as well as explained how and why the capacitors fail. I will use them for all my AC and heating needs in the future.

The repairmen were supposed to have called to confirm early morning appointment, but never called or showed up. I called a couple of hrs later and was told they would be there about 11:30. No show again. I called a third time and was told someone would come over Now late afternoon). Two men arrived. They were very professional, polite, and fast. They cleaned the evaporative cooler, replaced the float (which they provided,) and used the cooler pads and tubing that I provided, and turned off the furnace. Their final charge was $74.97. They didn't have an invoice with them, but we received the bill 17 days later which included the discount from using Angie's List. Other then not showing up on time, I felt these guys knew what they were doing and I would use them again.

Excellent they already had it fixed and going.....other's were barely calling back! GREAT JOB!

I needed the cold control thermostat replaced on my GE home chest freezer. And I had purchased a new (GE) part ready for installation and wanted a pro to install it. Angies List says that this provider will do large appliance repairs for residential new construction and light commercial. The representative (with input from another employee during our conversation) told me that their company did Not do residential appliances, only commercial. I explained that this should be a simple installation and that we needed help before the holidays began. They declined to do this simple job. For the second time today Angie's List has failed me.

Another provider, who was our long-term service provider, kept adding extra charges to our semi-annual service call (always a new part needed here, extra work needed there). After the last call, they installed a new part (the wrong one, it turns out), and then told us we needed a $3,000 new compressor. We called Starrett's for a second opinion. They came out, did a full service review of our equipment, replaced the wrong part with the right one, and saved us three grand. Needless to say, they are our new long-term service provider.

Technician showed up on time. But was dressed in shorts and t-shirt. Personally I did not think this was overly professional. He checked out the system in the house and the outside unit. He cleaned the inside a/c coils with a nasty smelling liquid. He said it would clean them out better. He did take the time to show me how the coils looked like they had been cleaned with a yard rake at some point. They were all mangled up. Upset that the two house inspections I had before I bought the house did not find this simple to see issue (another issues all together). The Technician was here for about 40 minutes. When he was done he just left. I had no idea of the cost or how the billing would be done. Two week later and well after the fact I get a bill from the company for 1 and a half hours of Technician time on the issue. Difference was one hour was about $68 and my bill was $91. How did they come up with the 1.5 hours of work when he was here for 40 minutes? Maybe the chemical he used cause the extra cost...but it should have been listed as such on the bill instead of being added to work time for the Technician. So I kind of question their billing practices. Would I use them again? Maybe. If I was in need of a Technician and I couldn't find another one who was available I would consider using them again...but I would press the Technician about info on the bill and I would ensure I clock him in and out to ensure the proper times are billed.

the person that came out was very professional. he told me what I needed and what my options were. when he left he said they would get back with us in a couple of days with the numbers. I was never given any numbers for the estimate. they dropped the ball on this and I ended up going with someone else. I guess they had enough business and didn't need mine.

Excellent response and repair

I had a very positive experience from calling to make the appointment to the work done on the unit. I called on 7/9 and the repairman was at my home the same day. I will call this company when I need a new furnace or air conditioner.

We are very pleased with the company's response and their work and we will use them again.

Called Starrett on Thursday the 11th of July, 2013 to see if they could send a man out to change the six air conditioning/heating filters in our home. In the past we have had their predecessor Climate Masters do this for years. They said yes, they would be happy to perform this service. I know it's not a big deal but A; I can't do ladders myself anymore, and B; they would also do other preventative maintenance and repairs on the three systems installed in our home. They said a man would come the next day, Friday, in the afternoon at my request. I stayed home Friday afternoon but no one arrived. On Monday next, I phoned Starrett in the morning and was told that yes we had been on the schedule Friday- no explanation or apology was forthcoming. Again I arranged to have a technician come out Tuesday afternoon to change the filters. Tuesday morning Starrett called and said the man would be at our home on that afternoon. Again no one arrived. There were no other phone calls or contacts. I have not called back. I will look on Angie's list for a different air conditioning and heating service shop.
