They kept me in formed all the way. Other contractors would not call back or would not call back with the estimate. There was two people who kept me informed. Though sometimes they would not inform each other and their was miscommunication. However, it wasn't a problem for me. I am glad to get the job finally done.

When the hail storm hit, I immediately phoned several repair companies and my insurance company. I had seven gaping holes in my roof, golf-ball sized hail stones and debris all over the floors, and rain coming through. Most of the companies never bothered to come inspect the damage. Several never bothered to return my voice messages. Lee Rawson not only returned my call, he came out to my house, climbed up on the roof where I was strapping tarp over the holes using bungee cords, and he even gave me his personal collection of bungee cords to help with the emergency patch work. Of course that won my business right away. It did take a while to get replacement skylights for my house. (Many thousands of homes were damaged in this storm.) And some of my 2 ft by 4 ft skylights turned out to be slightly different in size, so that required another parts order and a second trip to finish my job. But they stuck with their original cost estimate and were highly professional throughout the ordeal. I would definitely recommend Rawson Builders Supply for any skylight repairs you may need.

They were on target for delivery and did an excellent job on the doors. We are very pleased.

It is now 2 years later and the doors frames are rotting, The windows always have red dust on the sills and thus air coming in, and the screens were poorly hung with a 1 inch gap at the top. I had them come out and check the windows twice but was told it they were any tighter I would not be able to open them. I have lived in Fairbanks Alaska where the temperature gets to 60 below and I never had trouble having air tight windows that opened easily in the summer. Rawson was never able to fix the ones I purchases. I am now going to have to replace the doors again before I can sell this house. Very unhappy with the workmanship. Also they lost there admin person and it took them over a year to bill me and get it right.

I have used them many time for specialty products that are hard to find and really appreciate their ability to produce great products.

We were scheduled to have a 4th of July party so I called Rawson to get an estimate to replace the windows effected with Low-E insulated glass. They sent a representative out to measure the windows and promised that they could install the new glass before the party date. I did get other bids for the replacement of the glass, but Rawson was competitive and promised that they would be done in time for the party. They came through. Although there was a delay in the manufacture of the windows due to the unusual size of the clear-story, they came out and remeasured that window to be sure it would be exact. Having said all that, I would recommend Rawson Builders for their competitive prices and their excellent customer service.

After confirmation from our insurance company, Rawson came and gave an estimate of the cost. Once we received an estimate, the insurance company issued a check for the whole balance and we (my husband and I) paid half down. Several weeks went by and no windows. After calling to check, we find that the previous person in charge of the order has left Rawson's and the order is no where to be found. I showed the new person at Rawson's the order-he made a copy and said he would take care of it. Windows come 6 weeks later. A time and date is set for installment. When the installation group show up, they can not finish because some of the windows are wrong and some were not ordered. The installation group remeasures and tell me I will hear from Rawson's with a new estimate. A month goes by and I hear nothing-so I call and find out the second person handling orders is gone also. I ask them to come back out and go over what needs to be done. A man comes back out and remeasures again-I receive a new estimate and I send this to the insurance company. I go ahead and pay half of the new outstanding balance. The weeks go by and nothing. You can see where this is going! Finally, the insurance company claims adjuster calls Rawson's-they meet at our home. The order is so messed up-they start over and Rawson orders what needs to be ordered. It finally gets settled and window sashings are installed. This whole process took 2years and 3 months! We finally got all the windows in February of 2010. The personal at Rawson's is friendly, but because of turn over of employees, we kept slipping thru the cracks in their system!! I would not order from them again because obviously no one (owner) is watching what is going on!
