Paul did a great job, professional, courteous. I would not hesitate to call him again.

He said he would bring a bobcat and even called to get estimates so we agreed on that to happen and it was based on how much we paid him. The next morning he was punctual but without a bobcat and said he was going to borrow one from a friend. Given that he is nice and accommodating, we agreed to lower the price we were going to pay him, even though he had many men to do the job by hand. Quite frankly, the job was done much better by hand than by bobcat anyway. My advice is to get everything down on paper and detail every item to be done, and the price, so you have that for negotiations later. He is knowledgeable, has a good work crew, is on time for the estimate and for the job, friendly and enthusiastic. Secondly, I would recommend overseeing the job to make sure you are getting what you have done, however, overall the job was done well I just needed to be there to have small stuff redone, etc. Overall the experience was good. He will negotiate price to what you think is fair. And lastly, he is punctual, gets to you right away, and the enthusiasm and quickness gives you a flase sense of security so always be there if you can to oversee the work. My husband did oversee the work but I could have been there to give a bit more input. He does many things and I would recommend him.

Estiate inAM, completed by next day

I called Mr. Montoya at about mid-day Saturday. I have a problem with missing roof shingles on my mobile home. He gave me an estimate almost immediately. He asked me to buy a bag of shingles, which I did. He indicated that he could come back Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. if it did not rain. He called back Sunday at about 4:30 and said he could not make it even though it was not raining. I work out of town so we made a deal that i would leave the shingles and a check on the porch and that he would come by on Monday to do the work. Which he did. For the price I would recommend Mr. Montoya even though I was disappointed that he did not come by on Sunday. I shouldn't be greedy though since I too value my weekends and time off from work.

Found a color we liked...Paul got a sample, had it color analyzed, measured the house,bought the paint and supervised the crew doing the job. Well done. On time and on budget.

Prices were agreed on in advance and work was finished as agreed. When we had the trim done, he tried to talk me out of the color of the nonreturnable paint I had bought. That caused some trouble (and the b grade) but otherwise his work is good and he was especially helpful when our pipe was frozen.

I contacted Mr. Montoya on 4/28 about the job and explained to him that we had previously hired another handyman to do it but he (Tony Izzy of A. Izzy Construction) stopped returning calls and did not complete the job. Mr. Montoya promptly told me that he is very reliable. We tentatively scheduled for him to come by the following day around 10:00 or 10:30am (I had a previous commitment at 11:30 which I needed to leave the house by 11:00) and that he would call me back to confirm the time. I hadn't heard back so I called him again at 9:30 the next morning. He finally called me back at 10:30 stating that he was planning to come at 11:00. This wasn't going to work so I suggested that we try it again on April 30th. He agreed to come at 4:30 so I cleared my schedule in order to be there when he arrived. We waited and waited and he didn't show up. I called him and left a message at 5:00. At 5:30 he called back and said that we needed to find someone else because he didn't have time for us. I understand this is a small job but when you tell someone you are going to meet them at a certain time, you should hold up to that.

We called him, he came out and gave us an estimate, then he returned on the day we asked for, he painted and cleaned up and we were happy.

I callede mr Montoya on Monday and he came over on Tuesday. i gave him the adjuster report and he wento to work immediatly. Besides replacing the shingles he also re tarred around alol the vent pipes in the roof. He is very professional, his work is neat , and he exsplains exacly whatr he is doing. The job cost was exactly what the insurace estimate was. I am very pleased

Each job has been done well, thoroughly and finished when promised. The work dates cover a period of three years.

It was a disaster. He didn't show up in a timely manner. He promised work and did not complete. On small job he did complete it was proof workmenship at best.

Paul was the pace setter, the coordinator, the let's get it done and get it done right guy. Whatever needed to be done, Paul saw to it that the right people were there to do it be it plumber, painter or carpender. Paul made sure that whatever materials were needed were there as was he, always coordinating and doing part of the work. I contacted Paul for only a few of the repairs listed, but as I witnessed his work I continued to add on repairs I had long neglected. Paul scheduled and completed all that I listed above with complete satisfaction in approximately two weeks.

He was good. He was also fast. He did what he said he'd do and I was pleased with service. He cleaned up well and I'd hire him again if need be.

He had a good price, did good work and it is a family operation. He does a quality job in a decent amount of time and he follows through on his promises.

He worked with the builder that built my house. I would call him with problems. My cleaning lady noticed the leak in my laundry room. There was a lot of water. The next day I called Paul about the water. He came right over, went up on the roof and found the problem. He sealed the problem areas and I have not had a problem since. He is my favorite contractor. If I need something done around the house I give him a call. His price is very fair. He does a good job and he does what he says he is going to do. His quality is excellent. He usually shows up when he says he will. He is very professional. I will continue to use him in the future.

We bought the paint and washed the walls and removed the hardware from the rooms. They arrived at 8:00 AM did a great job and were finished at Noon. When he came for the estimate he told us how much paint to buy and we could buy it wherever we wanted. Both orf them were very friendly and we would definitely have them back to do more painting.

Paul was prompt and stayed on task. Cleaned up after himself and his helper. I would hire him again.

I called Paul on Wednesday, he came to my house on Thursday and put one of the units into service. Since some parts were required, he came back Friday afternoon and completed the second unit.

Paul was unable to make our first appointmet for an estimate, but once we got together, he jumped on the job the very next day and completed it over the weekend while we were out of town. I helped him reinstall mirrors, and the entire job was completed in four days. I was very pleased with Paul's enthusiasm and willingness to do the job right! I'll certainly call him the next time I have work to do.

Paul showed up when he said he would and everything looked good. I just wanted some touch up done so I could wait another couple of years before painting the entire exterior. I thought his price was very good and he saved me so much time. He is not a big time painting contractor so a small job like this was perfect. As with any work you have done you will have to check and make sure he hasn't forgotten anything but he frequently asks if everything is okay so you have ample opportunity to point out any oversights.

1 and 2 were done very well. He got the other workers and finished this work efficiently and on time. His prices for both labor and materials were good although I always negotiated these down from what he asked. I paid for the flagstones and benches although Paulie picked these up from Cemex (he charged less for delivery than Cemex). I also bought the gravel rock directly from Cemex and they delivered. 3. This project is the most I am unhappy with and would not recommend he be given concrete pouring jobs without supervision. The slope was not done correctly and now I have water standing everytime it rains. I have to sweep out the water manually else it might damage the foundation of the house around the front patio. 4. Paulie got another person named Jose who did the tile work for both the front and back patio. I bought the tiles and the grout. The price was reasonable and the quality of work acceptable. The only issue was Jose only spoke spanish. He managed to convey to me despite our language barrier about the concrete slope problem but by the time I got on the phone with Paulie and asked him to come over and rectify the problem, Jose had finished tiling a major part of the patio. Both then proceeded to convince me its not a major problem. However, it is a big problem because a lot of water is left standing after a rain shower. 5. Paulie also got one of his friends to do this project and I am also not happy with the quality of work. I paid the money directly to this other person. His name is either Mike or Martin - cannot remember now and he too spoke only spanish. From my experience, I think Paulie is good for handyman projects around the outside of houses. Anything he can't do, its better not to let him get any of his friends to do the job because I have not found these other people to be reliable. Its also a good idea to negotiate prices with him as he tends to name a big amount upfront. I have also paid him more than the agreed upon price voluntarily on some occasions as he underestimated the amount of work but worked hard and sincerely nonetheless to complete the job. It is this quality in him that I liked. I will probably ask Paulie to do things around the house but I will make sure he knows what he is doing. As a person, he is very hardworking and I think he genuinely means well when it comes to working for his customers.

Paul came and did the work requested. He was very quick. My impression was that he was not thorough in checking the irrigation system. In fact, he left the automatic system control in the "OFF" position, which I didn't notice until the plants looked droopy. I called him twice to come back to go over the system thoroughly. Each time he said he would come, but then did not show, and did not call.
