bathtub refinishing
+ -1 moreJim arrived at the agreed time, looked at the spider cracks (in about a 3 inch by 3 inch area) in the tub and said that they would cause no damage or leaking. He explained it was the finish that had the cracks -- probably something dropped on it there. Below the finish was fiberglass so I did not have to worry about leaking. He also explained that most likely he would not be able to perfectly match the existing finish -- he has the color but the texture might not be perfect. He stressed that the cracks were cosmetic only. I asked him to repair the cracks. He started right away. In about an hour he was done. It looks terrific to me. He said that I will be able to notice the repair spot after I use it a few times. I said that won't bother me - but the spider cracks did. He asked me not to use the tub for at least 24 hours and at my request told me how to safely clean the tub's Lucite finish.
Description of Work: Repair spider cracks in bottom of Lucite (Acrylic) whirlpool tub. Rout, fill, sand, quick glaze, finish about a 3 inch by 3inch area.
