The staff was very friendly for my first visit (very gentle while taking xrays, as I was quite sore, and tired from lack of sleep.) Dr. Duran was also kind and thorough in his explanation about what needed to be done, and why. Although I had not been to a dentist in a while, nobody made me feel like I was a horrible human being. They just seemed focused on helping me through the crisis in any way they could, and I was relieved and grateful for their kindness. I asked about the cost of the upcoming extraction, and they were able to tell me ahead of time. I find that some doctors (and staff) act annoyed when people ask about upcoming expenses, but they were fine. The extraction was scheduled right before Christmas, but they were still able to fit me in. When I showed up on time, they took me right in (no waiting.) They were organized and efficient, and the extraction was not painful, and quickly accomplished. The instructions they sent me home with were very helpful, and I had no problems healing. I'll be seeing Dr. Duran from now on, on a regular basis, for my dental care. I found all of his office staff to be friendly and efficient. The examination area is pleasant with an open feeling; the chairs are facing large bright windows, instead of being stuck in a claustrophobic small room. I thought his prices were very reasonable. I have recommended him to other family members as well.

I marked 'yes' on using this provider again, but I am not completely sure I would. It gets to be a trade-off between staying with what ones knows and taking a chance of finding someone better ... or worse. Dr. Duran is competent enough; that is not a problem, it is just that he gives the impression that he would rather be doing something else. I scheduled my appointments so that they were the first in the morning and still I ended up waiting past my appointment time (although it was not an excessively long wait) because the doctor was late arriving at the office ... somewhat annoying.

This was a great experience. My husband and I both went to see him, and we loved our hygenist. The office is very clean and pleasant. I didn't have to wait very long to get into the exam area at all. The hygenist performed the x rays and the extensive cleaning. She had great "bedside" manner, was very attentive to my needs, and didn't rush through anything. Dr. Duran then came in and did a great job with my exam. He got to know me as a patient, not just rushing through the exam and on to the next patient. Overall great experience! My husband, who is very apprehensive and "dentist shy" and his experience was the same as mine. Highly recommend this dentist!

He is really, really good. I recommend him highly. When I first came here I did not have a dentist. I called 1-800-DENTIST. They recommended someone else who was good, but it was hard to get to her office because there was no handicap accessibility entrance and I have a walker. I heard good things about Dr. Duran so I called his office. They have easy handicap access. He is really good. I have a bad gag reflex, so it is horrible to take dental x-rays. The last time I went there they wanted to try and take x-rays because it had been so long. The tech tried putting salt on my tongue and it worked. It helped me breathe through my nose and relax and it worked! They are willing to try and go outside the box to get what you need and what they need. I don't have to go too often but I can usually get an appointment right away. The office is clean, quiet and neat. I have not had to wait very long. I usually wait less than 15 minutes and I think that is pretty good. The staff is very friendly. His bedside manner is very good. He explains things well, what he wants to do and why. His treatment is good. I will continue to see him in the future.
