Xavier and his crew showed up on time and went right to work. They were completed as scheduled. They taped and textured all the walls as per agreement. Xavier also suggested other options and we went with his suggestions and we couldn't be happier. He is a very experienced and talented drywall finisher. Xavier and his crew were polite, professional and hard chargers. After the wow factor we did notice a couple minor issues, we called Xavier and he came out within a couple of days and corrected the issues. Xavier Alcala of Drywall Specialties Ltd visited the house after the drywall was installed by the owner and made measurements of the rooms. A written bid was provided and accepted. Alcala offered a selection of about nine textures. A hand applied texture was selected that had to be hand sanded for most of the house. One room had a spayed finish that was selected to match the exterior stucco finish. The owner installed plastic bull nose corner beads. Alcala scheduled his 3-6 man crews to work at the owners convenience as various rooms became available to taping and texturing. The final work was delayed until the HVAC contractor completed internal duct work which had to be drywalled in the lowered ceilings in the halls. Taping and texturing is a messy job. However the crews and Alcala cleaned up most of the trash and spills of mud. Xavier Alcala offered free advice on painting and finishing the textured walls.
