We regret agreeing to work with this company and feel like we were taken in by a con artist. Casey Carpet was referred to us by our architect for leveling our floors in an addition to our home. The owner, Hank Schweinebraten came to our home and estimated that cost for leveling the floors would be $5,000. The estimate seemed high but we needed to get the project completed as quickly as possible because other parts of the project could not move forward until this was completed. After 3 months of scanty, intermittent work from Casey Carpets our floors were not near completion and it did not look like they would be done anytime in the next 3 month. Every two or three weeks or so he would send two or three guys who would mix up the leveling compound who would then splash it across the floor. They never once even smoothed or leveled out the mixture. It looked like something kids would do playing with mud! It was like hiring someone to install carpet and they came every few weeks and would cut a piece of carpet and leave it in the room partially installed. After 3 months of delays which were holding up construction we had no choice but to find another solution. I ordered the same leveling product he used and had my own team install it. It took one day and 25 bags and we ended up with a beautifully level floor. It took Casey Carpet more than 3 months, they never finished the job, even partially. They claim they used 80 bags of the self leveling product we used. We did it in one-day, completed the job and only used 25 bags. It was very frustrating working with this company because it would take weeks with no communication from Casey Carpet about next steps, completion dates or anything else. I would have to call and leave messages for the owner to get back to me, which he would eventually do. Even though they never came close to finishing the work or offer a timeline for finishing the work or stayed in touch with us they were very prompt in sending us a bill for $7,744.34 and a threat to file a mechanics lien. This is a nightmare that we are being sued for work that was never done. I regret ever using this company and hope this notice saves someone the expense and pain of our experience.
Description of Work: We hired this company to level our floors in a lower level addition to our home. The work was never completed or done properly. We were given a quote of $5,000.00 and we are now being sued for $7,744.34 for work that was never done or completed.

Description of Work: Carpeting in bedroom was six years old and no longer lying flat in some areas. Casey Carpet people recommended a man, Jim, to straighten it out. He was a professional with an impressive array of tools needed to take care of the rug. We were extremely pleased with his work and the results. |

Very pleased with the the selection of carpet in the store, the staff, and the carpet installer. I had done my research on the internet and knew what I wanted before I started looking for carpet. I had some questions about the carpet and the salesman was upfront on not knowing the answers. Told me he would call the rep and got back to me with the answers the next day. The installer was the greatest. You cannot see the seams, they were on time and very professional. Two thumbs up!
Description of Work: Ordered the carpet and had it installed.

They came on time, Did the work in a timely manner and claaned up all debris and took it with them. Also, took leftover carpet to a company that bound the remaining carpet into pieces that could be used in the family room at no charge. They were effiicient and did exactly what they said they would do.
Description of Work: Bought new carpet from these provider and had it installed.
