he diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. When it came in he came back and replaced the broken part. He did a great job and I would definitely hire again.

Great. The repairman came out on a Saturday and evaluated the problem. He had to order the part. The part came in the next week and he came right back and replaced it and I didn't even have to call him. The washer has worked fine since.
Description of Work: washing machine wouldn't spin the clothes. The tub was full of water.

After 10 weeks, it still has not been repaired. They have never returned calls and are VERY rude when we call them.

Very unpleasant experience. Would not recommend Big Jack Appliances.
Description of Work: First problem: I called LG service when my LG dishwasher had an error code and stopped working. Since my dishwasher was 2 years old and out of warranty, LG gave me the number to Big Jack Appliances to call for repair. I called Big Jack and spoke to Steve Candelaria the owner and told him what happening with my dishwasher. He told me that the error code I gave him was a motor fault and that it would be expensive to repair. I asked him what he thought the cost would be and he said around $300.00 and that he had fixed these motors before and they didn't last long so I would be better off buying a new dishwasher. I quickly got the feeling that he wasn't interested in servicing my dishwasher so I didn't push for him for a service call. I did end up buying a new dishwasher (Kitchenaid this time) for $1,300.00. Second problem:My LG double wall oven upper oven quit heating. Same senerio, all my LG appliances were purchased in July 2010 when my house was built and were out of warranty. So, once again I called LG service to notify them that I was having a problem and they again gave me Big Jack Appliance to call for repair. I once again called BJA on a Thursday and spoke to Steve Candelaria to tell him what was going on with my oven. He immediately told me that he was busy and had just gotten over the flu and so he didn't know when he could come out to service the oven. (Immediately I got the sense that he didn't want to make a service call). I said that it wasn't a problem for me to wait until his was able to make it out. He then said he could come out the following Tuesday from 8-12 so I made the appointment. He told me that he would research the error code so that he knew what he was dealing with. On Tuesday morning about 9:00am I called him to see if he had any idea what time he would be heading to my house. He told me that he was in the middle of a big service call and he didn't know, and that he didn't recognize my name. Red flag for me, does he even have me on his schedule? He asked me where I lived which I told him and he said he still didn't know when he would be out. I told him that I had some errands to run and asked him if he would be able to give me a call on my cell phone when he was on his way so that I could make sure I was home before he came to my house. He said he wasn't going to wait for me to get home. (My intention was not to make him wait, hence the cell phone call). Then I asked him if he would still make the appointment by 12 as promised and he said he would. (Before, he said had no idea when he would make it to my house or recongize my name). So I again asked him if he would give me a call before he headed my way and he said he would. I asked him if he had my cell phone number and he said that he didn't have time to find a pen and paper and write it down. So I told him to cancel the service call and that I would find someone else to fix my oven. I then immediately called LG service back to complain about Steve's response. The lady at LG service called and spoke with Steve while I was on hold and he told her that he did in fact respond negatively to me on the phone. She told him that he was being unprofessional and asked him if he would still come out to fix my oven (not at my request) and he said he was no longer interested (good thing since I wouldn't have let him in my door). LG records the calls so they have his response on record and she made notes on her system. She told me she couldn't believe that he behaved that way. I can only hope they do not refer his services to others in the future.
