Everything went well as usual. I've used the company multiple times, and I can count on it to get the job done. Furthermore, it always does good work for fair prices.

This guy was friendly, and pretended to be knowledgeable, but didn't have a clue what he was doing. He missed some MAJOR problems with our house - one whole room had its floor eaten out by termites - the hardwood floors were tongue and groove, which is the only reason that no one fell through the floor because the floor joists had been completely eaten by termites. He didn't think it was a problem at all - he said it was normal for older hardwood floors to be a little 'bouncy' but this one could have been a trampoline! Fortunately, the mortgage company sent an appraiser and then the mortgage company insisted they wouldn't close unless the previous home owners left money in escrow to repair the floor. When they pulled it up it was completely eaten away by termites. ALSO, he totally missed that a lot of the plumbing wasn't up to code, and now that I know a thing or two more, I can't believe he could have missed such obvious code violations - they are visible to anyone with a pair of eyes and should have been completely obvious to any home inspector. He also missed rot in the car port roof, and that the property had terrible drainage and lots of water damage. We had to make major changes to the house after we had a friend, who was a contractor, come over to give us advice. I called Benge Neal back several times and told him about the problems we had encountered, and he just got nasty. At the time there was no Angie's list around, but I was glad to have noticed his name here while searching for a contractor because I don't want anyone else out there to be ripped off by this guy.

Nice guy bad contractor.
Description of Work: This company was hired to remodel a 1930s adobe. Exterior looks ok. The paint is sloppy on the inside the shower is coming off the walls like it wasn't sealed. The roof was done but less then a month later had cracks when told that it needed to be patched he said he needed some time. When he was supposed to come fix it didnt bring anything and wanted to take my husband on the roof without a latter instead they used a wall to climb up and talk about it then laughed when my husband fell off the wall getting off. Not professional. Nice guy bad contractor. Still has not fixed roof.
