I took John's 8 week class. There were several other dogs and owners in the class, each with a different challenge.John is a professional instructor. He teaches the owner and the dog to learn basic skills and the proper owner-dog relationship.He was very patient as was his wife Kim. He uses an commanding voice, body language and style to role model for owners.I had taken a treat based class before. My dog was focussed on the treats and controlling me rather than following my commands. My dog did not want to behave. He came in acting like a feral cat on a leash. He soon learned correct behavior and socialization.Now when I walk in public, he ignores other dogs, stops and sits at intersections, and follows verbal and hand commands. He is much happier because we can go out and both be relaxed. I know where he is at all times without looking. It took hard work. If you expect results without work, don't take this class. Its' great basic training along with problem correction. He also gives an advanced off-the-leash training which I look forward to when my dog and me are ready.
