 + 1 moreVery good experience, Plumber arrived early, very professional... even had to go into the crawl space several times. Quickly fixed problem and installed the new drain and piping without problems, cleaned up after he left.
Description of Work: Plumber removed blockage in bathtub which prevented it from draining well, also changed the type of drain and re-did some piping under the tub (crawl space)

His bid was the best of four Farmington vendors without skimping of quality. would recommend Fentiman Plumbing and Heating again without reservation. He has been proactive in checking on the progress of my job and has returned every phone call. His manner has been both helpful and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Fentiman Plumbing to anyone needing a good and reliable plumber. For the price and the value, he would be my first choice in any future work.

 + -1 moreWe asked him to snake two bathroom drains and check on a leaking shower head. One of the showers cleared nicely and the other one is still clogged. He told me the reason my shower head was leaking is because it was just clearing out of the pipes. That seems less than helpful. Now the shower head leaks faster, so I guess I DO know what I am talking about. He seems to think because I am a woman I don't know much.

Description of Work: Jim Fentiman installed, or reinstalled, the needed gas lines for my dryer and my range. He also installed a vent for my dryer extending under the dining room and kitchen to the outside wall.

 + 0 moreThey are honest and informative, which is why we use them. This summer, we bought a new home that needed the furnace replaced. We were able to purchase one from them at a discount! They held it for us at the office until we were ready to have it put in. On the date set to put it in, they were on time and went to work. Our new furnace is great, and much more efficient than the one we had at our last home.
Description of Work: We have used Fentiman Plumbing many times and continue to call them first. We have used them to put in a gas fireplace, to fix several leaks, replace sewer lines, and most recently... a new furnace for our home.

Once he actually got in the crawl space and performed the work, he found that some of what he estimated did not have to be done. He reduced the amount owed from the estimate to account for the work not needed.
Description of Work: Installed venting duct work from dryer to outside of house through crawl space. made gas available to dryer and range. Inspected shower area in the crawl space and Tested everything.

Description of Work: AFTER EXAMINING MY FURNACE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT MY 20 PLUS YEAR OLD FURNICE NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE COST OF REPAIRS WAS MORE THAN I WANTED TO PAY ON SUCH AN OLD OUTDATED HEATING SYSTEM. THE NEW FURNICE WAS INSTALLED THE NEXT DAY. THE SERVICE WAS PROMPT. THE SERVICE PERSON CLEANED UP ALL OLD PARTS AND DESPOSED OF THE OLD FURNICE. HE WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND NO DOUBT KNOWS HIS TRADE.

They have always done quality work at a reasonable/competitive price. They have always been dependable and punctual. Once, when they had promised to install a valve for our sprinkler system they became tied up with a much larger commercial project. They still managed to keep their promise to do our small job on time by working extra hours. We have always been pleased with the quality of their work, their dependability, and their honesty.

Description of Work: We have been very pleased with the work that Fentiman Plumbing and Heating has done thus far for us. They put in a new heating duct system that is working very well for us. We live in Cedar Hill, a rural community a ways north of Farmington, NM. Despite the drive, they were punctual, thorough, friendly and highly professional. Description of Work: I was recommended to Fentiman 4 years ago by a friend. (Date above is last contact only and $ is approximate spent over 4 years for labor & materials) Over the years they have done all of my plumbing from repair & replacement work to the plumbing in a major bathroom renovation. They even came right away when I had a leak in the basement. They are the most professional contractor that I have ever dealt with in Farmington. They won't be the lowest estimate you get but they will provide the best service, the best product and do the job right the first time. This fall I hope to have them install a gas insert into my fireplace because I want it done right!
