Didn't go well. I notice his current reviews are good. Maybe or mixture of self-help and professional help want a good idea.

It went well, I had a good experience with a contractor that cares about satisfying the customer. He was patient about getting paid due to the red tape of my mortgage service company. Eventually when the job was completed I realized a problem and Richard immediately took care of it. Very friendly and professional.

The roof work itself seems very good. Good quality materials, installed properly and efficiently. Crew was courteous and workmanlike. Richard was on hand to supervise through most or all of the work. There were two small problems with the overall work, however. First, the old roof waste and new materials were moved off and on the roof at a point where a gutter was in the way. In the course of the work, some damage was done to the gutter. It no longer drains properly, since it was bent slightly in the middle. When I noticed this, Richard was standing there looking at it as well. He said "Were you going to do new gutters?". I said "I wasn't planning on it". Before he left the site, he tried to fix it at the attachment points, but the fix was not enough to set the gutter straight again. In hindsight, the gutter should have been removed before work was started. It would have taken 10 minutes to remove it and put it back when done. The second problem was a lack of control of debris from the old roof. As part of the process, they use a leaf blower to blow old roof grit and small debris off the roof. The problem is that the holes for the turbine installation were open, and a significant amount of debris blew through the open holes and into my attic storage space. I spent an hour up there with a shop-vac, cleaning up what I could. I even found some debris downstairs in a bathroom, where it had found its way in through a small bathroom vent fan. They should have plugged the holes before blowing the debris. Otherwise, the site cleanup seemed ok. There was no significant debris left on the property... just in my attic... Because of these two problems, I gave a lower grade on "Professionalism". These problems could have been avoided. I found no problems with other aspects of the work.

They showed up on time as agreed, competently and completely carried out their jobs, and took care of it in one day. Superb work, good value.

We were very happy with his professionalism. (I called appropriate NM licensing departments and County offices to confirm that Richards Roofing was licensed & in good standing with the state of NM and with Los Alamos County and were knowledgeable about roofing work that did & did not require permitting.)

Our weather has been extremely wet with more than 7 inches of rain in a short period of time. So roofers were in extreme demand. When I called their office number and explained what I needed and where I lived the lady informed me that he was working in my area and gave me his cell phone to call. I left a message and he returned my call within a few hours. He was working on a roof but would stop by after he finished to look at it and give me an estimate. When the work was completed a couple of days later he charged me less than the original quote.

I have extensive damage to my roof due to recent rains. I found this roofer and decided to call,MISTAKE!!! A rude lady answered the phone and first response from her was "why do you keep hanging up on me?" This is the first time I called, she then became very rude. I asked if this was Richard's Roofing & she said yes it, and became extremely un-professional. So, beware, if this is a representative who is very rude.......imagine the work they must do!

Great service. Came out and performed the job within days of contact. Braved bad weather, freezing cold, and performed the job as estimated without issues.

Richard was prompt and quick. I requested and paid only for the leak repairs, he did additional work after noticing the roof needed the extra work. Friendly and professional. He has worked on my neighbors house the last few years and she also is very happy.

When Richard showed for his estimate he was the most professional of all the contractors who actually showed up and provide an estimate. This was why we ultimately selected him even though his price was slightly higher than others. He offered more than one solution to our leaking roof but we decided to get the metal roofing due to its longevity and warranty. His professionalism continued on the job. They installed the new roof quickly and cleaned up after themselves. We are very happy with the work Richard did and intend to have him do another roof on our garage. Highly recommended.

OUTSTANDING! I was quite leary at first but never the less he delivered what was promised! All the old material was cleaned up and removed from my property as if no one was ever there! WOW what a concept!

Showed up when he said, Richard personally supervised the job. Here at 7:00am gone by noon - very fast work!

They were professional, priced reasonably, and very prompt. A pure joy to work with.

They did it for free because it was a very small job and I was very pleased with them. They fixed what another company had caused while doing a horrible job. The experience in dealing with them was very good. I was very pleased. They seemed honest and professional and just interested in helping you. I had a storm afterward and nothing got through. He took a little time to get back but not too much.

Everything Richard said would happen did. The price was fair and accurate, the time necessary to start and complete the job was estimated exactly. Richard was very professional, accurate with his estimate. I truely appreciate an honest contractor. I never had a worry, two days later our monsoon season started and it poured for days, I NEVER had a problem.

I was very pleased with all aspects of this experience. It's always helpful to know as much about what you need done before the estimate as possible. In my case, the old shingles had been blowing off the roof for a while, so I was pretty sure I would have to have the whole roof replaced. Also, make sure of the actual price, especially if you want additional work besides the roof. I had them put up the metal flashing as well as the roof and made sure of the cost before I signed any paperwork.

Richards Roofing are the company that we signed the contract with but the crew work with several other companies. At first we were anxious about whether or not that would be a problem should we have any concerns, but were assured that the licensing, bonding, insurance and contract were all under one company and we would always have one contact (Bruce) to work with if we had any questions or concerns. This proved true, and in the course of the project we had a few (relatively minor) mishaps such as a fuse blown on our air conditioner caused by the roofers, tar marks on our stucco, and of course RAIN. Each one became a non issue as a result of the crew. They always protected the exposed roof with protective tar paper before leaving the project each day, they cleaned the stucco, and they replaced the fuse (they responded immediately upon us calling it to their attention). They started the work on time, they always showed up when they said (and they didn't even work weekends, so we could enjoy them in peace). The roof looks great, and they picked up all their nails and took away all the trash etc. They even threw in a few extras for us (new gutter and downspout on one side of the house), and painted some chimney trim to match the roof. Overall I can't imagine how we could have received a better job or better service.
